Ok, so you saying it goes like this;
Tippett
Giles
Fev

I reckon 2 and 3 are a possibility. But Tippett? I cannot see it happening, unless we bought shares in Visy, just saying.
We've made an offer to Tippet, regardless of what his manager has told sen.

In 09 when fev was banished we tried to get him, even though Walsh at the time was adament we didn't.

Collingwood has no, zero interest in giles

Whilst i agree with the unlikelihood of Tippett ending up a pie, i think you would be an extremely poor judge and i would be upset at the pies management if we didnt put an offer to Tippett. There will be an offer on the table, i reckon most pies would be upset if there wasnt - you cannot teach 6ft 7", power forwards are rare and he has massive upside. What it would cost us is the real question.

Mitch Clark for example............was never going to become a Demon but.......

Wellingham gone - save $300K ish, veterans listed players = about another 300K saved.

The one that worries me is Tyson Goldsack - absolutely love what he has brought to the club this year and we must sign him asap.

They are only my opinions!!!!!!
Yep, and see this is fine, but I don't agree with your opinion. Why would we lock up 1.5 million of our salary cap on two key position forwards?? One of them is only a concussion or two away from retirement. The Collingwood management team is much smarter than this, or at least I hope they are. I do rate Tippett very highly as a player, but it's just not the right fit for us at the moment. Lynch is a good 3rd tall/ruck option. Dawes and Paine will be good enough to compete with each other for the full forward position and CLoke will be Cloke.

People just live in fantasy world with a few of these options and trades (see Wellingham for Shuey thread), and I don't really mind the dreaming, its when people start stating these things like they are facts that I become annoyed.

Making an offer for Tippett is mandatory, we understand that! But to land him, is for Tippett to be hungry for a Premiership medal swinging round his neck, otherwise and in this day and age, he'll end up a Lion on mega bucks.

Don't want Pederson, I would be disappointed if he came to us.
He can play both ends and his numbers aren't too shabby, considering the attrition rate of 2012 it couldn't hurt to have him on the back burner if someone goes down, the reason we didn't drop Dawes sooner this year is there was nobody to replace him with

Sorta like Bucks said yesterday that they hadnt done a deal with Lynch when it was clear as day but they just didnt put the forms in as yet. Im sure we will end up talking to him

From that Facebook dude

Collingwood have denied any interest in signing Kurt Tippett saying that if they has picks 17 and 18 in the draft that they would keep them to use on elite young talent, not to get Tippett.
Looks like there is a preference to draft this year if we can believe him. Not sure what this means for Wellingham though

I agree with everything except for the 2 key forwards versus dollar criteria, as a ball park what do you think Buddy and Roughy get paid combined?

but not Collingwood? make up your mind.
FMD

We have made an offer to Tippet
He likes our offer but his preference is GCS (he isn't interested in Brisbane or them not in him but whatever)
We will/still hope to be involved in the trade, be it for Tippett or a young GCS midfielder whilst getting Tippet to his chosen destination.

How can you not follow that?

Not 1.5 million, but they might end up getting that soon when Buddy gets his new contract. I dont think Roughy would be on more than 500k. Having said this, its a little different when the players are homegrown, you wouldn't want to lose your best players, and if your best players happen to be both KPF then you have to pay them. I dont think you would actively go searching to pay that much money on KPFs.

Something like Tip to the Suns.
We send our pick 18 to the cows
And we get Bennell, Caddy and Dixon.

Right?

You got plenty of if's going on there, as I ready mentioned earlier, Collingwood putting in an offer for Tippett is mandatory, all else is speculation.

Why?? He costs 800k a year, why would it be mandatory to offer him a contract of that size? Can you imagine how guys like Pendles, Reid and Beams would feel? Let alone Dawes who 12 months ago turned down much more money to stay loyal?
