Totally agree, what the fk is going on down there, get in a 30yr old to squeeze out a 24yr old who was playing a foreign role to him all year? Get dawes at ff, cloke at chf and lynch can pinch hit. No reason why dawes has to leave in my opinon.
Geez they thrust side by side down our throat then they fk over a premiership player who was played out of position all year. If he is forced out i would be livid with buckley and the club.

Spicey! I say Spicey! Where are you Spicey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hear you but I would be shocked if Sharrod crosses to Melbourne.

At least we will know for certain where his future lies by the end of the week before he goes on holidays.

The thought of players choosing to go to Melbourne even for good money, reminds me of just about the only funny thing I can remember Tony Shaw ever saying. They were talking on Fox about Travis using crowd noise in the headphones while practicing goalkicking when Tony said something like, "Imagine doing that at Melbourne! You'd hear silence then a single posh voice calling out, "Go Dees!" ".

Wellers and Dawes are testing their market worth. The club cannot prevent this from happening and must be prepared to gain the best possible deal. Did you see anything from those player this year that makes you think they are untouchable?

Can you tell me:

a/. where the club has said they want to squeeze Dawes out? See Eade comments
b/. why you don't think Dawes might have initiated a move after being advised he wasn't a lock
c/. who in football does and should be guaranteed a position, and
d/. why you're panicking when he's still contracted.

Chillax the f*ck out.

Kreuger will go on and on because he never misses an opportunity to cloak any issue in melodrama and relate it back to Buckley, who we all know was the assailant behind the grassy knoll.

Others should just take it for what it is and not make unfounded suppositions or end-of-days predictions.

Think he got you there Krueger.

Nothing to get. I just like to hear retorts to other posters who on occassion share similar thought to myself.

Some here think I am the only 1 to not agree with everything the club does and tend to ignore similar posts by others.

Back to Dawes. His form can only get better. I have no doubt he can return to his 2010 - 2011 form given a chance at FF fulltime.

Perhaps he doubts himself, hence the trade talk.

I spy a key difference - The others are not ill-informed and don't build up a sizeable post count on the back of it.

Everyone has issues on this board they disagree with, including Buckley, but at least they can argue those questions on there own merit. You on the other hand have your needle out every time to try and stitch it to Buckley.

You pop up every time there looks to be some possible issue, like the leader of the opposition.

I hope Dawes stays, I would be pretty mad at the club if he left becuase no way do I believe he would have a problem with Lynch being there. I would choose Dawes over Lynch anyday of the week, it's just disapointing we are about to lose a player who rejected double the money he was being offered 12 months or so ago to remain with the club.

If the club wants loyalty then they have to show abit of loyalty as well, getting a 30 year old to replace a 24 year old loyal man, who I would say is not a bad footballer, is not showing loyalty. Poor form by the club.

They didnt say he is being replaced by Lynch, that he will be in the 2s every week etc.

If Bucks has said that he will need to work for his spot, and if his form is not up to it, he may not get a game, and Chris has reacted in a way that has him contemplating on making a move, then i don't know how you can questions the clubs loyalty.

They're putting the best players out there to get wins. If its Lynch, cool. If its Dawes, great. The in form guy gets the game.

If Dawes couldn't accept this, gets shitty and wants to be traded, i have to question his loyalty as well.

Instead of using this moment in his career to spur him onto bigger and better things, to become a better player, it seems like he is taking the easy way out by wanting out to play with scrubs where he is guaranteed a game.

Did I mention Bucks? You seem to have him on your mind 24/7 - blind love does that. Lol yeh lets just let all of our players shop themselves around to see what we can get. That would really create a sense od unity and belonging.

Your right. FWIW I think Bucks has NFI what he is doing. Willing to let Wellingham go when we lack speed, let Dawes go when we finally get a Leigh Brown replacement, pay Leon a pittance after a great season etc. I can go on and on and on and on but Ive said it before.

^&*@ me! you really have faith in the club dont you. I can guarantee that the club has about 30 plans in place each ranked in importance, because we have the most professional club in the AFL, we pour the most (or close to) the most money in the AFL into our football department for this very reason. Yeah Leon fell through, but didnt we put in an offer for Pearce? last year and that fell through, and i believe thats why we recruited Yagmoor. Leigh Brown is a little different, he was a good honest battler and you couldnt really estimate his worth to the team until he was gone.

to be honest im not to fussed about Dawes leaving if he and his management is going to carry on like this, the club hasnt done anything wrong. Competition for spots is healthy for a club and you have to know that you have to put your ass on the line every week to play AFL for Collingwood, like 2010. TBH a bloke like Macaffer plays about the same height as Dawes anyway and can actually hold marks. Bottom line is a lot of you guys are blaming the club for this when its Dawes' choice to entertain offers, everybody knew our interest in Lynch round 22 when we played them up there so he has had plenty of time to think about it.

Bucks has said Wellers is a required player, and also a contract has been in front of him for a month. Wellers has chosen to talk to other clubs to see what he can get.......Bucks nor the club can do anything about this.....
Lol orion you don't the acolytes to let the facts get in the way of a good smear job do you?

Been part of the forum since 2007 thanks very much. And your 2,500 posts since September 2011 are all valid, objective, realistic, brilliant etc right? Gimme a break. If anything Id call them spam.

Of course it's going to be a long month.

HINE RENDELL BUCKS. FREE AGENCY. SUPERDRAFT.

Kids in a candy store and the store doesn't shut for a month!

I think Chris will stay. He'll test his market worth and may want to leave ala Ryan O'Keeffe a few years back. Problem is when some club offers a 2nd round/3rd round pick for a 24 year old KPF that has shown quality...Collingwood will laugh. He'll play FF next year.

Wellers on the other hand....i think will end up in Perth.
