If Wellingham and Dawes decide to stay then fine. But if they want to look at greener pastures then this is what may transpire.
Wellingham - West Coast are luke warm on him they will not pay him his asking price, freo have gone cold becuase they have signed Pearce. If Wellingham decides to go West Coast then he'll have to accept the same offer collingwood have offered which is around 300k each year for three years.Welligham was asking 450k per year for 4 years. He won't get that at west coast,he may at Melbourne though. Collingwood will definately ask for a player and west coasts first round pick pick 17. and Koby Stevens. Collingwood may have to throw in a 3rd round pick to satisfy west Coast.
So if wellers leaves we get Koby Stevens plus pick 17 on trade pick 17 to GWS for Giles.
Dawes is a different proposition. He is contracted for the next 2 years. Now Bulldogs and Melbourne are very intersted in himso we could quite aesily get say as an example from Melbourne.....Their first round pick plus Stefan MARTIN if collingwood played hard.Remember ball is our court for negotiating cos Dawes is a contracted player so if we don't get a good deal he stays. So from Melbourne or Bulldogs at mimimun we could get their first round picks which we can on trade to
Gold caost for caddy or pick a gun in this years darft which is meant to be brimming with talent
So in the end say we lose both wellingham and Dawes we get Koby Stevens,Giles and Caddy. That's a good deal
