Surely now the pies have sorted out their second ruck issue, they should go for someone who can take kick outs and give us a bit of run out of defence, this is surely a massive area we need coverage in.
The Herald Sun report card has us ranked last in % of kick ins scored by opposition, Leon Davis' old possie needs addressing!!!

Clearly if we get a 1st rounder for Wellers we will use it in the draft?
Yagmoor is a quality kick....just needs size.
Not a heap out there in regards to gun kicks I would have thought.

That's why Pearce would have been good. What about someone like salopek would come cheap,or we need to find an aboriginal player with silky skills, in the mould of Leon Davis...........Yes but who?
 
So lets say Dawes stays and Wellers goes....that's the feeling I have anyway.
We have replaced Taz with Lynch.
Need 3 picks in the draft, say pick 18 (WCE), pick 19 & Pick 40 (Stewart).
Any chance of picking up a recycled player with our 3rd round pick?

Yes the thing is that we will have to use our first pick for Stewart otherwise someone else will snap him up.Kp player are hard to get.

you are daft if you think we will use our 1st round pick on stewart.
 
With say pick 18 from west coast we could use in the caddy deal but i think Carltank will beat us cos they will offer their pick 11 or12? So we miss out there,but we can sneak in Giles from GWS FOR PICK 18 PICK 19 for stewart and pick 40 for a midfielder,Either someone from the draft or someone like a Salopek,gysberts .

Dont foprget next year we have ball,the caff,keefe coming back as well they will be like new players.

Believe me if we want stewart we have to use a first round pick,ours i mean not what we get for trading.Our pick 19,cos if we don't another club will get him,he is KPP NOT A MIDFIELDER.kpp's don't grow on trees

Paine has hardly proven to make a proper impact and hold his spot... yet. We must surely have a Dawes replacement up our sleeves?

Seriously mate.... WTF.

Firstly, we hold #18 already. We would get #17 from West Coast.
Secondly, we do not want, nor need Caddy so that's not going to happen.
Thirdly, Giles is Adelaide bound and in my opinion, it not worth a first rounder.... Nowhere near it!
Lastly, Stewart at #19.... You're a bloody crazy man you are!!!

Well I am not a Fan of Rivers but could we Increase our Offer to him.

Others that might be looked at:

  • Salopak
  • Minison
  • Clinton Young
 
Despite his poor GF, Young would be an excellent replacement for Johnson in the next few years. He carries the ball very well between the arcs and is a booming kick. If you lost Wellingham, you could make a play for him $ wise.

We need a quick, elite kicking small defender to take kick-outs AND more importantly play on the the small forwards like Betts, Rioli etc.

Please don't put us through having to watch O'brien do it in 2013.
