Serious question, when is Suckling out of contract?

Should throw a bit of $$$ his way or if Wellingham goes could involve him in a trade somehow.

Tradeweek 3 weeks this year. Though it has the Chance of Being Busy and FA will run thru Trade Week as well then De-Listed Player FA

Just to snoop in, but my brother is the biggest Lions fan and he would love to hear Banfield leaving haha. Lions have Josh Green who is 3x better so I would say Collingwood can have Banfield. He isn't worth dirt.

Lol, I'm from Brisbane, I go for GC, Brisbane and Hawthorn. I saw Banfield's name come up and I liked Birchall and Cotchin, before they got recongised highly.

Why clearly?
I would think given we are in the premiership window we would be looking at packaging up the Wellingham & Dawes picks (if we get good offers for them) to go for a big fish like Tippett.
If we cant get Tippett I would be going after the next best ruckman like Giles, Griffen, McIntosh etc.

At least someone makes sense around here.

Just because you get high draft pick doesnt mean you go to the draft.........If we identify a weakness in our team or game plan then we would be better to recruit proven performers to remain in the premiership window.

Most likely it will be 18 from WCE and we hold 19....due to the saints getting pick 13 compo for Goddard.
Caddy would be handy...but won't happen.
I agree, Giles isn't worth a 1st rounder.
Stewart should be ours at 39 (will be 40 after goddard compo).

3 reasons;
We can't afford Tippett. See Walshy's comment.
Giles isn't worth a first rounder.
McIntosh has nominated Geelong and Griffin.....well he's not much beeter than Wood.

I have a feeling we're cooking up something and are about go WHAMMY on a monster trade.
Whether that is Tippett or another big name I dont know who yet but it will be big.
With the young talent we have coming through like Witts, Moore, Stewart, Paine etc I dont think we need to go to the draft.
We need to strike while we still have the premiership squad still in their prime.
As to not having enough cap space to get Tippett, if we offload Dawes & Wellingham we will be very close.

In regards to Walsh's comments, I wouldnt believe a word that comes out of that guys mouth through the media. He has a long history of telling porky pies I dont even know why he bothers being interviewed anymore given everyone knows he just speaks shit.

Man I'd love to get Banfield at Collingwood, I think he's a real talent. Great pace, decent skills, could be exactly what we need.
