Surely they'd do it after the copeland tomorrow at the least. I know they delisted the rookies but yeah.
Can't remember how it's been in previous years.
fair point i forgot about that. A few years ago at the Richmond b&f their captain kane johnson read out the players names who had been delisted that year and they weren't supposed to be told until after hahahahahaha

First list lodgement isn't until October 31st, so technically nobody has to be officially de-listed until then. But you would think the earlier the better, as it gives us more of a chance of getting a decent trade done.
If GWS are reportedly interested in Mark Blake, surely they would have a look at Cam Wood??

Harry O just tweeted sad to see you go. Oh we'll, let's make a deal Eagles. This will be interesting. I still recall
at the end of 2007 where The Eagles said " Judd will not be going to Collingwood".

Is it true that Rounds, Wood and Buckley have already been delisted for salary cap room? just seen it on a few of the facebook free agency and draft pages and wanted to know if there is any truth in this. has anybody heard anything??
Don't know but delisting them now wouldn't free up any salary cap space, over and above having them off the list by the list lodgement date.

I don't mind Clarke, but Jolly still has a year to run meaning that Clarke will probably be in the VFL most weeks. If at the end of that year, Witts and Ceglar are similarly ready to take on a senior role, we've basically pissed away an early pick. I'd rather we stuck with what we have and adressed other key deficiencies.

Hearing talk Zac Clarke is keen 2 head home - Its a shame - Freo have invested plenty into him. Need 2 ensure a decent compensation

the guy works for a radio station in perth not sure how true it is.

Zachary "Zac" Clarke (born 28 March 1990) is an Australian rules footballer plays for the Fremantle Football Club in the AFL.
He was drafted with the 37th selection in the 2008 AFL Draft after playing his first season of competitive football with the Oakleigh Chargers in the TAC Cup in 2008. He represented Victoria Metro at the 2008 AFL National Under 18 Championships. At 203 cm, he had previously played basketball for the Nunawading Spectres and had hoped to play at a US College.[1] An athletic player with good endurance, he lived with Fremantle's first choice ruckman, 211 cm Aaron Sandilands when he first moved to Western Australia.[2] He attended Koonung Secondary College.
For the 2009 season, Clarke was allocated to play for East Perth Football Club in the West Australian Football League and after two impressive games was named in Fremantle's senior squad for their Round 3 match against Adelaide.[3] He eventually made his debut in the round 13 clash against Collingwood Football Club after averaging an impressive 16 hit outs in the WAFL.[4]
In round 20, 2011, following a strong performance against St Kilda, Clarke was nominated for the 2011 AFL Rising Star.[5
Hasn't set the world on fire, so what's he like?

I Agree the only thing i am concerned is what happens if Witts and Cegs dont kick on as expected then we are in a fair bit of trouble.

That's true, but the club would know better than you or I how close those guys are to being ready. We know they have a huge opinion of Witts' potential. If we do go and chase Giles or Clarke I'll be disappointed not because those guys are bad targets, but because it speaks to a less optimistic view of Witts and Ceglar's chances of making it.

If Dawes left, Clarke would be a fine fit for us as the mobile 2nd ruck. I don't see Clarke competing with Jolly at all, but combining with Lynch. Lynch will be gone in 2 years and we wont have a 2nd ruck unless Ceglar takes off. That is far from a certainty in my view. And the good thing about having Lynch and Clarke would be that if Jolly did go down and Witts wasn't capable in 2013, Lynch and Clarke could share the duties and do it well imv.

Is he worth a look if he is cheap and Dawes leaves? Played a few good games at the end of the year. Obviously injury concerns but is he worth a punt? Couldn't cost much if essendon are only offering him a one year contract

Hers how i reckon things may pan out.

Wellingham to West Coast

West coast give collingwood first round pick 17 plus Koby Stevens

Collingwood package up pick 17 plus Cam Wood To GWS

GWS ontrade Jonathon Giles to Collingwood

Chris Dawes to Melbourne

Melbourne ontrade pick 13 and steakknives Martin

Collingwood offer pick 13 to Gold Coast for CADDY

Collingwood use our own first round pick 18 to get kpp Stewart.

Collingwood use our second round pick to secure Leroy Jetta.............Have heard rumour Jetta wants to leave Bombers not contracted.

SO IN THE END COLLINGWOOD LOSE..........WELLINGHAM,DAWES,WOOD

COLLINGWOOD GAIN Q LYNCH.CADDY,STEWART,MARTIN,STEVENS,GILES,JETTA

PRETTY GOOD TRADE PERIOD I RECKON IF THINGS GO THIS WAY.

Nice trade period indeed.

Melbourne seem to value Dawesy pretty highly in that scenario.
