You know, no big deal losing Wellingham, is a good 5th mid but has never really set the world on fire for us.. handy to have not a have to have.

If we can get a Martin plus another pick for him or free up money for others so be it... to get something or keep a star we need to make a sacrifice, we can always replace a mid... anyone thinking this isn’t a good idea is thinking with their heart not head

People are either undervaluing Wellers or completely overstating Martin's worth.

Seriously, what has he done that makes him look any better than any other spud ruck type we've brought in from elsewhere?

I'd be ok with getting rid of Wellers for someone like Minson. I think that would be somewhat of a fair deal, with a few adjustments each way. They have a plethora of young talls, so they need to make a decision.

Wellers for Q Stick would also be a decent deal, but a foolish one given he is unrestricted.

Honestly, if someone mentions a player deal swap for Martin again, who looks like he is out of favour there, i will go nuts.

Have you seen him play? He has a lot more attributes than a 'spud' ruckman.

I have.

He is a 25 year old ruck/KPP who has barely knocked up 50 games at Melbourne. He was a 3rd round pick himself.

He is worth nothing more than what he got drafted at.

If he was 21-22 with potential, different story, but he is not.

Im not saying don't bring him in, just not for a player like Wellingham.

Im not saying straight tade him for Wellingham, i would definately expect something else in return. Maybe Lucas Cook could sweeten the deal.

he is unrestricted and will be surprised if he is at Melbourne next year.

yeah i think the same thing, Geelong are apparently going after him and they would have a lot of cap space available at the moment.

UnRestricted and Going to Geelong.

Keeffe won't be a 2nd Ruckman. He is a KPP.

Does anyone think the pies might look at Griffin from Freo?
Seems 3/4 choice at their club.

I think we need to retain everyone on our list apart from Taz (retire), Rounds, Young & Wood (If we get a suitable replacement).
Keefe, Reid, Brown, Dawes & Cloke (Think he'll sign) are off limits!!!
