If we did go after Tippet, how many years would Collingwood offer on a contract?

Coil Remission. Nope, can't do it.

Hine rated Tippet, but there are issues with concussion and possibly some disgruntled players, but if Wellers is happy to go home and Dawes is the one to go, in reality what we are giving up is Dawes and 1st pick for Tippett. Still feel Lynch is vital to us just for that ruck relief.

Maybe the clubs just doing this to send Carlton right round the twist. Boo....Yaa.

2 first rounders remember....... Unless i've read incorrectly, we'd be sending #17, #18 and Dawes for Tippett......

Yeah, guess it depends on how Hine and Rendell assess the value @ 17/18. On players being pissed re taking unders, it's a fair point, but once Didak, Jolly, Ball, BJ and Swan retire, we'll have enough money to splash around in next round of deals. I also imagine they'd be excited to have two giant forwards to kick to for the next 4-5 years.

Can salve any disgruntled players with promise of better deals next time around. Interesting.

Or we hold off on tippett just sign Lynch and make HUGE play for Buddy next year!! LOL

I just say we pull the trigger on lynch as he would solve the ruck issue as well as cost us nothing more than his salary.

If Wellingham does infact request a trade then we take pick 17 and enquire about Tippett. Worst case scenario is that Tippett goes elsewhere and we are left with a forward line of Cloke, Dawes and Lynch as well as have two first round picks. We can also make a play for caddy but even if we get nobody else we should hopefully find a replacement for Wellingham with the two picks

I'd be forgetting about Lynch.
I'd be trading Wellers for pick 17.

Then trading pick 17, pick 18 & Wood for tippet.

Keep Dawes to learn/play the 2nd ruck role.

Would be nice to get something done, imagine Bucks, Hine and Co working frantically behind the scenes.
 
If true about Sydney offering so much cash, there is no chance that he hasnt already nominated them as preferred club. It would be a much shorter plan ride to GC to visit family from Sydney, then it would be from melbourne LOL...only thing is what do Sydney have to offer him that crows would accept, seems we have more trade bait and picks up our sleeve, which would be the only thing in our favour!!
 
After years of trading our first pick, would be nice to keep two first round draft picks if we lose Wellingham.

But saying that it would be nice to sign Tippett on a lengthy deal.
Would love to have Cloke, Tippett and Dawes/Lynch in the same fwd line, talk about streching a defence!!
