dont you wish you were a fly on the wall in this trade season to hear the truth on what deals are being done, and what mr hine and bucks are thinking?

It would have to be a very, very good first rounder or something very, very sweet.
You mean a ruckman, resting ruckman, FF, CHF and Tall utility able to play third tall/CHB/relieving ruck if injury occurs? I'd say we would have a function spine flexible enough to cover injuries.

I would expect that Tippet would mean that they no longer would play 2 genuine ruckmen

Depends how we line up and if we scrap Tippett's ruck forays. Also wouldn't be a bad ploy to rotate Mumford, Pyke and Seaby between forward, ruck and Bench. Fresher players through the ruck isnt a bad thing

free's the goodes up to run around the mid and bacl and half foward flank to win brownelow, it should be interesting anyway to see what players everyone have after the trade to get an idea what the teams will look like. all i can say is congrats to rhys shaw a long hard deseverd reward for your footy over the years.

That'll be a bit difficult when you've delisted Seaby.
 
The reality of this is that we are not going to get a first round pick for Wellingham or Dawes, if they end up in the PSD, they will get to their club of choice as per with the Luke Ball situation.

I think a 1st round has already been offered for Wellers. And Dawes wouldn't go the PSD route.

Dawes cant go the PSD route because he is still contracted. I think that you will find that we will easily get a first round pick for both. Wellingham wont be able to go through the PSD either because Melbourne could afford the price that he puts on his head to try to get to West Coast and he doesnt want to go to Melbourne. Is it school holidays time?

You have absolutely no clue. You think Wellingham would last until the team which finished 5th on the ladder...

You can put a price that says unrealistically 1.5 mill a season. Obviously he has agreed to West Coast to pay him a lot less than that, so no other club will touch him.

Ha, mate I don't know if we are ever going to see eye to eye. Murphy is a great kick, Young is not imo. Young might have a booming left foot kick, but it certainly isn't reliable or accurate hitting up targets. Still, he would be a good option to have coming off a wing, as we don't have many line breakers in the side.
 
Clinton Young fills a very required need.

Even if 'soft', we need some foot skills off half back and on the wing.

Would be a terrific replacement for Wellingham.

His left foot is damaging from 60 metres out.

I'm sure that would make you very happy. Meanwhile, "or" means that none of those four things will happen, namely Dawes OR Wellingham attract a 1st rounder OR get picked up by other than Melbourne or WCE respectively in the PSD. Good luck with that.

I dont disagree its a difficult one but I think clubs will acknowledge he was asked to play a role last year that was foreign to him and if they arent asking him to do that they will weigh his '10 and '11 form more highly. I think one of the major issues to go against him is 'why are Collingwood even letting him think about it'. If I was an opposition recruiter that is what I would be worried about.

If the news this morning is true and Dees will lose pick #13 and get #20 then I suspect you are right on the money for Dawes value.

It would not surprise me if they lose 3 and 13 for Hogan and Barry and then collect #20 and pass to us for Dawes. I would be ok with that but given what Crows got for Gunston it wouldnt or shouldnt be any less as we woudl be getting unders.

It should net us one of Shaw or Jaksch as KPF's with the latter the one am especially keen on.
