IMO the Adelaide / Sydney deal is done, White and first round pick. The Crows have asked for Sydney to pay White's salary and that's where it is at. It will get done on Friday.

Talk of Reid, Parker etc is just nonsense, probably started by Damien Barrett as seems to link everything with Collingwood regardless of what or who it is.

I'm not getting into the legalities of this in any way, however the intention of that deal was if he sought a move to one of the two QLD teams. AFAIK it was never a "whichever club you choose deal" so whilst they may have been happy to accept 25-33 from one of those two clubs Tippett's decision to go to Sydney would has voided that commitment IMO.

In my mind, Martin is far better than Pederson. Yet they want to get rid of Martin for pick 33 which would be "enough" for Pederson. I would give a pick 40+ for pederson.

The term used was "steal". I think it's a good punt, but wouldn't have used the phrase "steal". Not like it's circa 2009/10 HMac.

I guess worst-case scenario for Adelaide is he is de-registered for a period, Crows get somewhat whacked and Swans just brush themselves off and move on without the trade. That would be entertaining.

Just don't know what it is at collingwood but for some raeson aside from Jolly and monkey we have never been able to trade and get a strong athletic bullockling ruckman.

Availablities out there are scarce at the moment..........Martin? Stephenson ? Seaby ? Currie? Pederson(only a pinch hitter) these are the only options left we cannot rely on Jolly to carry us next year.

It may have been better, but with it voided Adelaide are no longer forced to accept those terms and surely we all know 23 or 23 and White is well unders for Tippett.

IMO the onus should be on the Swans to come to the table with something better, however I fully understand if they don't or won't because with no other competitors what would be the point. So yes things could get very interesting over the next 48 hours.
