I suppose dor insurnace purposes only Edwards would be a good,chaep pick up but only as depth.
I suppose macaffer,sinclair and elliot would be ahead of him but he is a good contested mark and resonably accurate kick,would put pressure on the rest may be worth a go.
 
Does anyone think we may snare a ruck option before trade period ios over,maybe a Martin or Pederson or a West .we really need to address this cos we we just rely on Jolly he won't play all year and Wood is not the answer we need a decent backup,till Witts and Ceglar are ready.Oren Stephenson anyone?
 
Collingwood utility Tom Young is set to be traded to the Western Bulldogs for a late draft pick.

Young, 20, a former NSW scholarship holder, played two games for the Magpies this season to add to the seven he played for Collingwood last year.

The 191cm, 91kg Magpie is set to bolster the Western Bulldogs list after they also picked up Koby Stevens from West Coast.

He definitely crashed his bike, was out riding with a few teammates....crashed the same day as Johnno Brown. Not sure that makes any difference though, bottom line is we dont need him. Would rather Fev, and thats saying something!!

Ok well thats one question answered re next years list. Good the club has found him a home. Basically gave him away.

Dave can I ask why we would trade for Russell when he just walks to us next week without giving anything up? We will not be trading for JR. He will be acquired through the delisted free agency window.

Then why did we trade Tom Young if he was getting De-Listed anyway - Just like JR?

Because if we get a pick in the 70-80's for Young....we won't use it. Like when we gave pick 90 something for Corrie...and Brisbane didn't use it.

Tom Young is a bum. Clearly the coaching stuff think the same considering Buckley played more games than Young. Young showed how ordinary he was this year....Bulldogs can have the spud.

I'm not fussed on Buckley either way....
 
I actually dont think Young is that bad, but that's just me.

Glad he gets an opportunity elsewhere to build a career.
