Yep.

Cause what we've got a lack of is key forwards, and we've got heaps of skilled hard midfielders.

Actually, I could see us doing this.

"Collingwood Football Club: Embracing mediocrity since 1990" ...?

Our clubs problems go well beyond your short life.
For almost 50 years Collingwood has acheived off field notority on the back of the McHale dynasty and as a result 'taken their eye off the ball' and achieved very little on it.

The legacy of King Eddie and Madhouse will be the same as that of all his predecessors dating back back to Carlyon in the 50s. In taking the lease on VP and building the god forsaken and social club the club sold its sole and has been cursed by the Colliwobbles ever since.

The club doesnt need a shake up, it needs to be turned UPSIDE DOWN! We need a spirtual revival, because I am affraid THE CLUB is now just another footy team and a struggling one at that.

Collingwood is the most famous sporting club IN THE WORLD and this was acheived ON THE FIELD, ON THE SODEN TURF OF VICTORIA PARK, its equally infamous ground. Not in SOFT recliner chairs in elitist social clubs or in the lavishly SOFT gymnasium of the Lexus centre. The supporters that bother to turn up to games have even gone soft, too old, too many dissappointments.

My plan:
Demolish the Rush and terrace right round to the Ryder. Cheer squad in the Sherrin, with the posh up the back and make em pay top dollar too. Renovate the Ryder, remove the Rose and put a two deck ex-players stand. The rest of us stand around the ground and make sure those bast@rds that visit OUR home know they are up against 40 thou pack shoulder to shoulder, not just 18, all ready to KILL FOR COLLINGWOOD!!

Wake up Magpies, Collingwood is dieing.

Fevola for Holland

Who ever made that rumour up should be shot, especially if they are a Collingwood supporter. We got 20 billion Tall Forward, just to name a few - T Cloke, Tarrant, C Cloke, J Cloke (YES, J Cloke), Rocca, Fraser, Buckley (plays tall), Rusling, probably a couple i forgot.

J cloke isnt a forward and rusling i reckon will play up the ground and fraser has never done anything upfront so that leaves trav, tazz and big anton.

I reckon we have some room for another forward.

Lonie_from_50!!!!!

You forgot him...and so did bloody Madhouse!!!

HE IS A HALF FORWARD FLANKER FOR CHRIST SAKE.

Lets not abandon young Rowe either, he has great potential.
Egan, great year.
Harry....those goals at the end....another tall half forward.

No team has suffered injuries like Collingwood has this year and with the lack of available personel the off field Lexus-lay-about admin staff will be let off the hook again. This goes right to the top, if you want to see whats happening watch the movie The Club. Its the been the same board room BS for 50 years.

LET THE BLOOD RUN FREE!!!!!

Joan Kirner once said "Dont get angry, get organised"

And the AGM is the place to do it.

Just be careful, King Eddie has an answer for everything and he always takes the popular side.

I'm not trolling your site but Holland for Fevola! At least come up with a credible rumour, like say Lappin for Holland.

He didnt make up the rumour. He said he got it second hand from another board, and he also added that it was unsubstantiated.

Granted Holland for fev might not sound like the best deal for collingwood, but why the ******** would we trade holland for lappin?

a player with a good 5-6 years left in him, for a player on the verge of retirement?

There is a revolution brewing in Eddie's Republic. ;)
Another one that I will be intently listening to at the AGM, putting all the 'hard' questions to Eddie.

You are a member aren't you? not one of those soft c.ocks who does all his snipping from the side lines.

At the AGM, what questions exactly will you ask Eddie (just so that I know it is you).

Regardless of what our list needs no one would give up a marking goal kicking forward for a second level midfielder. We don't need another forward but I'd still jump at that deal. It would be a steal. Work on deals for Tarrant, Fraser & pick 21 to get a midfielder, a ruckman and an earlyish draft pick and we would be laughing. Holland is needed in our midfield right now but let’s be honest, that's only because our midfield runs so thin. Holland is replaceable by dozens of players. Fevola is one of a handful of key position players in the comp. with real talent. He might not take as many marks as Tarrant and he might not be as versatile but he can kick 100 goals and Tarrant will never do anything like that. Goals win matches. Fev for Holland - where do I sign.

agree that Holland is a stand out in the midfield we had running around this year, but if we can get some top youngsters or a "big name" across to thw Lexus Centre he would be bumped back to tagging duties pretty quickly

was this Holland for Fev trade rumour a straight swap? would have to question the brains trust at Carlton for contemplating it if it was ever to eventuate, which i dont think it will

it would be worth it for but only if we traded tarrant for a really awesome pick or something! does that mean we need to pay fevola 500k a year?! if so stuff that

if Fevola was at Collingwood next year id assume Carlton would be paying the majority of his contract...otherwise Collingwood wouldnt touch him
