Actually Taxi driver's are paid by commission, they get half of each fare they take so they are the victims.

I don't know how it works in Adelaide, but, in Sydney, taxi drivers don't even get a commission.

Instead, the drivers have to pay to rent the taxi for the duration of their shift. They only start making money on their shift once they've earned enough to cover the rent of the taxi for the night (as well as fuel).

So if some obnoxious little **** takes a 40-minute taxi ride, then runs off without paying, the taxi driver doesn't just miss out on the fare - they actually lose money out of their own pocket. They've paid for the privilege of driving some drunk kid home.

This is why they'll be angry enough at cab-bolters to consider running them over with their car.

Why shouldn't they. We broke the law. People do it all the time (calling the proper authorities).

They would gain some justice.

A conviction for petty theft. A petty theft conviction can pose problems for securing employment and the acquisition of certain professional licenses. Having a conviction on my record can also compromise my ability to travel internationally.

So wait...you didn't want to go inside and explain the situation for fear of getting caught and hence getting a black mark on your name- but you thought bolting from the scene would be the best option?

I- like many others- call bullshit on the story. You clearly all just upped and left.

Because we had no money (apparently). :thumbsu:

It is also worth to mention that these people are serious hoons. You might have read about the illegal drag races held in Cambellfield, well, these guys are notorious offenders. Hope this helps with identifying my mates psyche and why they do such stuff...

... and no, it's not garbage.

Argh the Cambellfield drags, never had a chance to go, as I work during the times its on, but my brother and mates go quite often lol.. so your mates are the one's that organise the meets? :p

Nope.

You work Wednesday/Thursday nights?

Bu serefsizler bi boktan anlamazlar... :D

I take it you're under 20 as well?

19/20, there is no real difference...

Im 20 about 3 months ago. Me and 3 mates did a runner from a restaurant. It was pretty funny at the time. That same night we called about 4 pizza shops and got pizzas delivered to various mates houses.

The cops called my house about a month ago and I was arrested for something like obtaining Financial advantage by deception??

We just had to apologise to the joint. It was pretty annoying. They thought we couldnt afford it but we could. Its just the pizza was cold and a waiter didnt come outside to look after us so we left.

I just thought id tell Double07 this story cause its fairly similar.

It's really on everyday, like random gatherings.

Usually someone sends a text message and from that it eventuates into something large.

Yeah, I've always been pretty jealous of people that got the amazing opportunity to leave a restaurant without paying.

We did pay. Just not straight away. It was fun at the time. But usually after you get caught it isnt.

My dad used to tell me about a swindle that his mates used to try on back in the war years. Two blokes would go into a cafe separately, sit at different tables. One would order a coffee, the other a full meal. They would ask for their bills — then go to the toilet. Then swap bills in the toilet. The one with the bill for the coffee would go and pay and leave, the other would go back to his table for a while and then take his bill up to the register and say - "Hang on, I only had a coffee, why am I being billed for all this food?" cafe had no option but to let him pay for the coffee...then they'd move on to the next cafe and do the same in reverse. Both blokes get a good feed for the price of a coffee.

An oldie but a goodie.:thumbsu:

Gold lol.

lol

last week when i came home from school i was really hungry so i asked mum if i could have some milk and cookies

she said okay but you can only have 2 because we'll be having tea soon and you'll ruin your appetite

so i went over to the biscuit barrel and i took three!

just casually walked off to my bedroom with my milk and cookies like there was nothing wrong

i quickly scoffed them down before anyone had a chance to realise what i was up to lol

i got away with it! :D:D

You are a devil VD, but I BET your Mum knew exactly what you did, but let you get away with it because you are mummy's little pet! And, furthermore she knows that the brussell sprouts and broccoli are behind the cupboard in your bedroom!
