Running The Tan

that's a fair amount of weight you've lost

how tall are you?
5'11. To be honest I could stand to lose a few more kilos and also be a fair bit fitter. When I left high school I was 65kgs, and kind of a rake.

I'm aiming for 70kg flat, with a bit more muscle mass than I have currently.

Did it again this morning. Ever so slightly hungover, dehydrated and overall feeling shitty. But still managed to shave 3 minutes off my last time! 22:35 And I'm down to 82kg now, just 8 or so more to go. :)

Bump!

Popped my tan cherry last night, first fun I had done since I broke my leg in August.

Generally a decent runner so aerobically it was bareable but farq me did my legs hate life! Managed to do it in 16:02 which going by everyone elses times isn't all that bad.

Would like to think when I am at my fitness peak I could maybe break 14 minutes.

Anderson St hill is an absolute prick of a thing!!

Offical go the tan fun run on the 10th and 11th of February for those wanting to get their offical tan time.

I am intending to do it on the 10th after 12:30 when it is open to the public.

There is also a group fun run around the tan on Tuesday the 15th of February which i have entered, but won't be making it due to going to NZ early the next morning.

For those struggling to get their time down take solace from the Sri Lankan team who took on the Tan just before lunch last Sunday.

They all started jogging together from the Pillars and I ran in the reverse direction. I guarantee that by the 1.75k mark three quarters of the side was walking.

I honestly could not believe I was seeing this from supposed elite sportsmen.

 Isn't that the easiest part of the Tan. it is nice and flat and the sand is thin therefore not that heavy to run on

They're cricketers, not footballers. I wouldn't think they'd be especially fit in an endurance sense, since cricket is more about mental fitness than anything else.
