Has been delisted by the Hawks as a rookie. There were big wraps on him last year and was even touted as a 1st round draft choice at one stage but slipped through to the rookie draft where Hawthorn took him at pick 2.

Stands at 192cm, may even be taller now, but is very light. I have heard he can play at either end. Is he worth a shot as a rookie fro the Blues?

Be interested to see what ECHUCABOY has to say about this, as he knows Ruory's capabilities very well and is also a very keen Carlton follower.

Wasn't much of a backman this year, but played as a floating forward pretty well.

After reading through all the match reports on the hawks site it seems asthough most people were very impressed with Kirkby, and not one of the loyal followers including those who saw every game and did stats thought that he should be delisted. Dont entirely know if this is correct yet though, havent really read anything as of yet.

IMO Andy Collins is a ********wit who has his favourites and bums them up the arse, if you look through the box hill list there is an abundance of mitcham\east burwood players that get special privledges.

Anyways no doubt someone wil pick him up and hopefully give hima better go than the hawthorn scum did. BANG!

How can hawthorn be putting out that line of 'going for youth', when they give away somebody young who just needs time to develop their size and frame. I hope carlton pick him up and look after him. Which is what Hawthorn should have done.

I agree entirely with you there ECHUCABOY, it seems strange that Hawthorn would put a developing player on their list and keep them only for 1 YEAR!!!, of all the people I have spoken to through out the year have all been impressed with him, so IMO we have a spot on the blues list for him, and to let him develop into a KPP and stick it right up Clarkson!

Surely cannot hurt to rookie him. We're crying out for young KPP, especially defenders, so why not take a chance on him. He was rated in the top 15 on Footydraft.com last year, so the kid can obviously play!
