I got a "Oh What A: Rupert" sign at the game on Saturday night.

I put it up during the theme song to raise the eyebrows.

Whether its right or wrong, Rupert was told at least halfway through the season there was a strong indication he wouldnt be at the club this year. Its common knowledge he did not get along well with Malthouse. Whilst he is clearly a better alternative than Williams, Lokan, Kinnear and co, he would not have made that bigger difference this year. An average player who actually put his body on the line unlike the other two, but when he was poor he was shocking.

I wish him all the best and was truly dissapointed that duds like Morrisson, Flectcher and Marsh could get picked up but Richmond couldnt find room for him. I hope if work doesnt succeed in the Sunny North he will be back at Williamstown in the future.

I managed to convince the missus to name our turtle Rupert (he's a good kid and doesn't mind a scrap). Still pushin' for Rupe as the name of our firstborn (in honour of the great man), but she ain't keen on the same name for the turtle as our prospective young'un (and if it's a chick it ain't really gunna work). That said I'm now pushin' for Tarkyn...
