Rupe is returning to Williamstown. I was looking through the Williamstown report for last week and it said he is going to play the rest of the season for the seagulls.

ROOP: Rupert Betheras has returned to Williamstown! After discussions with several clubs, Rupert has agreed to play out the rest of the season with Williamstown. He has already played one reserves game and will probably play one or two more before honing his fitness for a asenior recall.

Fantastic to hear. Must admit was extremely disappointed to see him go last year. Have a mate who barracks for the Lions who would always go on about how Rupe would always play his best against them, kicking a couple. He was great for the club!!

Great News,

I heard earlier this year that he was playing with St Mary's and kicked a bag of 9 goals in his first game.

Will help out the struggling reigning premiers.

Thats great news, love the guy when he is in the Gulls outfit, exactly what willy need at the moment. he is tough and is a dead set live wire.I say play him this week, they need something and he just might be it.

Looking through the Williamstown report again this week and it said this

ROOP: Rupert Betheras has received a job offer from Queensland and is tossing up whether to continue his proposed comeback with Williamstown. He was in discussions with club officials on Monday and a verdict will be known by next week.

Letting go of Rupe was a big mistake

Could have used he toughness as the club this year

As they did Davey. As they did Peverill a number of times. The point isn;t that Rupe is a gun. the point as far as we should be concerned is that he is in our best 25 or so plyaers and would have been for another 2 years.
