Would we be a chance to pick him up in psd as he has broken down with another injury it's a risk but he will be a super player if he stops getting injured and gives us another key position player

I have thought of that too, I really rate him when he's fit and firing...

Massive risk/potentially massive reward situation.

I actually posted on the Pies board a couple of days ago, asking whether they think he'll be on their list next season... Depending on how our list shapes up at seasons end, and given that this draft is meant to be somewhat shallow, I think we could do a whole lot worse...

I think he would be worth a chance. If he can get over his injuries he would be a massive addition to our squad. A player like Jurrah isn't always going to be available in the PSD and normally it is just a pool of washed up hacks. I certainly wouldn't give up anything big for him but if he went into the PSD or we could get him via a trade for a late pick in the national draft I would consider it.

I think that's the perfect way to summarise this opportunity.

He has the potential to be a star forward, as he is super quick on the lead and has a great pair of hands. I can't remember his kicking ability to be honest, as he has been out of the game for so long, but I'm guessing it was neither elite nor horrible, otherwise I would probably have a better recollection of it.

I suppose the club's medical staff would need to assess him prior to taking such a chance though, and if they feel he could potentially stay injury free for an extended period of time, then he might be worth a go. He would also have to be the best available pick in the PSD as well, which is another question altogether.

Are you referring to his latest injury setback (around a month ago), or is there a new one that I am unaware of?

From all reports, he is due back in a week or two.

So is Rivers, should we get rid of him?

If he's there in the PSD then unless there is some superstar there I say pick him up.

Good. Glad that's settled then. I'll get on to it right away. j/k, i just liked the air of finality in that post.

Rivers and Rusling are worlds apart.

Rivers is a key part of our defence and shows courage as he runs back into packs (which is why he gets injured) as opposed to rusling who tackles a bloke and pops his shoulder... Nick Holland style!

Look I'm not saying Rusling is no good, he has skill with a big body but I wouldn't throw him a lifeline and cause he would take up another spot on list - we might miss out on another Jurrah or Martin if we pick him..

We shouldn't take the PSD draft lightly though by saying "oh, we'll get him if he's there".

Look how well we worked out getting Jurrah instead of some old hack (Rusling isn't quite at that level though) and, to a lesser extend, Martin instead of Sampi.
