ADR nudged the wall in FP1...

Didnt see him do a Quali run in FP2 - but went right into the longer runs on the Hard. Niko was faster but was diong the Quali Sims.

Rain on the forcast and some Grid penalties out there for the Mid pack runners.

Could be interesting.

More like McLaren have looked at Renault’s performance, their own performance and the Red Bulls and decided that Renault are simply not making any real improvement.
Which we all can see.
I'm not sure you wouldn't go to Ferrari if you wanted the best power unit.

Is there a limit on number of teams that an engine manufacturer can supply?
No idea. But as there has been a drive to reduce costs I’d say there would be no limit.
Interesting that they said tonight that the other Mercede’s supplied teams may get their noses out of joint after this announcement.

Lewis is not relishing the challenge, he has already won the championship and doesn't give a damn.

He won't be so happy go lucky next year if ferrari is doing this from round 1.

ADR ont catch a break.
Last race penalty back to 20.

This race, 5 cars have penalties and he'd be up to 15th from 20th last race.

And now is in Top 10 an 2.5 sec perlap off the pace after q3

Long race tomorrow. Watch him get tagged in Turn 1 after the main straight.

Article 8.3 of F1's sporting regulations states: "A major car manufacturer may not directly or indirectly supply engines for more than three teams of two cars each without the consent of the FIA." (Autosport.com)
So unless Merc seek permission they are going to have to drop a team, Williams are signed on until 2026 so it will have to be racing point that goes.

McLaren are hooking up with their ex-husband Mercedes in 2021
That's four Merc teams, aren't the rules that engines of any maker can only be in 2 suppliers and your own?

Would make races easy for Lewis in 2021:

"Claire, this is James. We need you to back off so we can make a gap for Lewis to come out into."
"Otmar, this is James. We need you to back off so we can make a gap for Lewis to come out into."
"Zack, this is James. We need you to back off so we can make a gap for Lewis to come out into."

Interpretation required.
“Supply engines for more than three teams”.
Does that 8nclude Mercedes own cars as technically they aren’t supplying as a customer relationship.
I believe it does include their own cars, but I’d be arguing the point. Or asking for an exemption.

Williams have a contract until 2026

At the moment it's looking like a case of "Otmar, this is Toto. * off."
