Should be easy to suspend Russia from UEFA with all but Russia themselves, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Serbia & perhaps Moldova the only nations that would be against suspending them in UEFA.


FIFA might be more difficult with 200 + member nations. The majority of those won't be too keen to involve themselves in it.

US have just ceased the ability of Russia to trade in USD. That's huge, plenty of their cash reserves are in USD.



Also there are reports that Putin is demanding money from Oligarchs to support the Russian sharemarket to prevent its collapse. Apparently it wasn't even open for trading yesterday to prevent a collapse. If true that's very bad news for Chelsea because it will tie up RA's wealth unless he turns around and tells Putin to GAGF.

Russian central reserve bank banned from completing transactions in USD. Russia only has gold stored in Russia itself. Cash reserves are mostly in US / European banks. Going to be very difficult for them to use those cash reserves now to fund the war effort.

Also Russian rouble trading has been suspended (I had a look myself to see if it was possible to pick up some Russian roubles once it bottoms out).



Oligarchs have big USD cash reserves. They'll be pissed. Oligarchs are also moving their yachts out of US jurisdiction. Sounds like they got wind of a US operation to seize them.
