Yep, I made a mistake.

Compared to you claiming any defender that gives up 5 goals is rubbish and that Goodwin and Edwards don't play in the D50, it's minor!

Bitch slapped AGAIN:D :D

Didnt we debate this a few months ago?

Doesnt matter who helps or who does what . Ruttens primary role is to ensure the full forward doesnt score goals. Whether this is done by the midfield strangling the movement or pushing the ball to the wings, or by Rutten creating enough pressure on the full forward so the ff leads to the wing doesnt matter.

Its a team game .

Judd won it in 2004, Cousins in 2005.

Mate you don't seem to know **** or bother to research your arguments.

Excuse me.

I for some reason thought Kerr won it last year.

Oops. :o

What you added a goal to try win an argument more like it, pretty low:thumbsd:

You have to post the same thing twice?

Wow, you really are bitter!

What was that about defenders getting 5 goals kicked on them? Edwards and Goodwin? Crows tactics?

:thumbsu:

Just childish.

For a grown man, you have to resort to making things up to cover your inadequacies.

I have no problem admitting I made a mistake.

Back pedalling:D

I at least have the decency to admit my mistakes, rather than disappearing into the ether after claiming:

1. any defender that has 5 goals kicked on them is rubbish

2. that Goodwin and Edwards don't play in the defensive 50

3. that Tom Harley, Milburn and Hunt are crap

4. that the Crows don't push back hard into defense

5. that a player returning from injury isn't class

1 A good defender wouldnt have 5 goals kicked on them, eg a class defender such as Hart, Rutten or Bassett.

2. They spend very little time in the D50 if they spent alot of time in the D50 who would deliver the ball to our forwards:confused:

3.Harley is crap, Milburn doesnt get the recoginition he desevres and would be Geelongs next best defender behind Scarlett will take that back, Hunt is rubbish.

4. WTF where did I say they dont push hard back into defence:confused:

5. I never said a player returning from injury isnt class:confused: Where did I say they werent class:confused:

QUOTE]

Well Im waiting for you to show me the last time Hart, Rutten or Bassett had five goals kicked against them yet you cant do that, I will wait and wait :p

Rutten - Rd 6 last year, Darcy 6 goals, Rd 17 2004, Lynch 6 goals

Bassett - too many to count, pick any match against Alastair Lynch, Quentin Lynch's first match, etc

Hart - I ain't trawling back through his games to pick out all of them!

Dude all those players have had a bag kicked on them at some stage of their careers.

Everyone has a bad day or 2 that doesn't mean they are rubbish. Didn't Lockett kick 10 on Hart. I also recall Lynch kicking a huge bag on both Rutten and Bassett and Bassett also had 7 kicked on him by Tredrea in one showdown.

JM makes it sound like it is happening every single week, very rare for any of those players at the moment to have a bag kicked against them.

Yet they've all had 5 goals+ kicked against them multiple times?

2. They spend very little time in the D50 if they spent alot of time in the D50 who would deliver the ball to our forwards:confused:

You know players are capable of passing to a teammate and running forwards?

Fact remains, both are in the top 6 for rebound 50s, so you've been laughably exposed.

3.Harley is crap, Milburn doesnt get the recoginition he desevres and would be Geelongs next best defender behind Scarlett will take that back, Hunt is rubbish.

Stupid.

Goodwin and Edwards are on the end of Bassett, Mcleods and Johncocks kick out of our defensive 50 and are delivering the ball to our forwards, if Goodwin and Edwards are in our defensive 50 who is delivering the ball to our forwards

Yep, you did, I quoted it earlier. When I said Harley was coming back from injury, you said

maccas_no1 said:
So one minute they are class players the next they are coming back from injury and you reakon I dont have a clue

Clearly making a division between a player coming back from injury and one with class.

Never did that at all.

Making things up as usual because you're wrong.

I simply responded to your outlandish statement that a defender who has 5 goals kicked on them is rubbish by pointing out that all those three had had 5 goals kicked on them.

So you're lying again, and by your logic, those three Crows are all rubbish.

You said it - not me. 'Any defender who has 5 kicked on them is rubbish'

That is just rubbish. One of the premier CHB's in the AFL.

During the Zac Dawson debates earlier in the year ('Is Clarko helping or hindering him?'), Robert Walls kept mentioning the fact that while at Carlton he left a young SOS on Plugger all day and the big unit kicked ten.

As you say, sh#t happens.

PS. Just on the debate at hand, the chrome motorbike - when fit - is one of the best CHBs in the comp.

You made a general statement, not me. You mentioned 'they', not Harley!

Backpedalling now!

By the way, why don't you post your opinion of Harley on the main board? See what response you get?
