Daughter and her husband and kids have had the Longwood fire sweep through their 80 acre property this morning at Gobur. Still waiting atm to know about their home. Cattle and other livestock gone.

Cheers Ted. You have watched this unfold summer after summer and you think how terrible it is and how you feel for people’s loss then it hits you head on when it’s your loved ones. Daughter, Son in law and grand kids have just got here now all in one piece and that’s the main thing. They have just heard from their neighbour who stayed to fight for his property that my daughter’s home is still standing in one piece as the fire has ripped through the property and missed it. Fingers crossed the wind change through the night doesn’t get embers to reignite.

No they are this side of Mansfield about 25 minutes. Closer to Alexandra which even though Gobur is their home Alex is there local town. Yark the little town before Gobur is gone I am lead to believe.
