I feel conflicted whenever I see this thread bumped. Somehow it's not exactly the legacy I hoped to leave behind!

Gambling addiction and resource over use... two of the worst root cause issues in society but we condone it by taking their money.
I wish all sporting teams/competitions would get a backbone and realise sponsorship works both ways. Money over conscience.... These sorts of sponsorships are actually brand harming, we are sponsoring/promoting societal issues, it that worth the money?

If anyone thinks I'm overplaying things then look up companies like Patagonia and Vaude. Their values are almost bigger than the product and their brand loyalty is through the roof. Clubs should think this way.

If anyone still thinks I'm off on one... then do nothing... the club is, the government is too, most people are too! It's a ripping party!!
Or you could gift yourself a knowledge xmas present by searching crypto currency energy usage and gambling addiction society costs.

Brand loyaly to sports teams is already through the roof anyway.

Very very few people care, and even fewer will stop supporting the club because of sponsorships.

I'm not sure this is actually true... Didn't they remove Star Casinos due to the gambling issues faced by around a third of NSW people?

While I'm not suggesting 'halos', I'm much happier to be insured by QBE and read the fine print, that something sold at Coles or Woollies!

I think it's a good fixture (even if we are essentially giving up our home ground advantage).

Fact is the Giants are a contending club with a growing following in a traditionally nonAFL area.
Buddy probably won't kick 5 against Taylor in round one so you can just sit home and watch it on TV.

I agree Hawthorn would have been a great match up as well. Think you probably would have pumped them though.
+Interstate wouldn't have given Swans fans the chance to see it.

No they aren't. You would be hard pressed to find a tier one professional sports team in the entire world with less of a following.
Their crowds would embarrass an A-League team.
Greater Western Sydney TV Ad Spots may as well be the name.

I'd literally forgotten you beat us last year in the finals such is GWS's irrelevance.

The A League crowds are a farce that's for sure , as are the GWS crowds
