I have only seen Crowley play a few good games this season (live). But every live game I have seen him 50% of his kicks would be to the opposition.

He's a great shut down player, no doubt. And he's a tagger that gets a lot of the football himself, it's just once he gets the footy in his hands himself you've gotta wonder what team he's on.

Ling and Cornes are the best going around by a landslide!

Dud of a player. Looked totally lost on the weekend after Ablett went off with his ankle injury. Seems his only value to the team is getting under the skin of an opponent. Once he doesn't have the chance to do that, he's useless.

Congratulations you have another sniping Tagger. All you guys need now is a midfielder who will put his head over the ball.

bump..

well they have a few now..quite a few.

On Crowley....did an amazing job on Jack tonight.

Knows now not to push it to far. Disciplined player now.

Ross' number one ATTACK DOG!!..as Robbo calls him.

respect or hate Crowley?

What, you didn't see Mundy, Barlow and Fyfe smash your mids at the contested footy a fortnight ago. Come on mate.

He's done well to get the most out of himself, which is following good players around all day, because he is not good enough to be in the best 22 when he is not trying to stop someone else and win his own ball.

Great tagger, perfect size and discipline for the job though!

lynden dunn is better

Nice bump, funny how times change.
Despite all the bad blood with Harvey and whatnot, I have enormous respect for him.
Was outstanding tonight, 22 touches an and awesome goal compared to his opponent Jack who only had 11 touches.
Genuinely wonder if Mitchell can overcome him next week, although if there's anyone who can shake a tag, it's Mitchell. Should be a fantastic contest!

hilarious how so many people think that is a logical thought.
as if the only thing any player ever needs to do is pick up the football and kick it at at the goals.
this is why people like Ross Lyon are coaching and you are posting on an internet forum.

Very defensive there, Crowleys career was a shambles until he became a tagger, he was struggling to make the top 22...

Not sure what you are talking about in terms of picking up the football and kick it at goals either, weird...

a vital cog in the Lyon machine...tough cog at that.

Tony Shaw would be proud of the relentless annoying diatribe that was directed at his opponent tonight.

I think the Crowley career can be summed up in some stages

1. Early he had a lot of injuries and never really cemented his spot in the midfield
2. Harvey then tried to turn him into a forward (that's why he put on so much weight)
3. Ross took over and changed him back into a midfielder but not a ball winning one, a tagger. (edit: Ross also made him lose that weight he had gained too)

He has gone from almost delisted to being the #1 tagger in the game. I don't care if you don't like him personally (not that many of you here would have ever met him before, he's a great bloke btw) but show so god damn respect to the players that work their arses off to provide us with the entertainment we love which is AFL football. (Not having a go at you failtosucceed, just annoyed at the general disrespect towards Crowley around here)

Yeah get what you mean, as I said in my original post, he didn't used to be that great, barely in your best 22, then once turned into a tagger has become elite, the best tagger in the game.

lol. mate, i'm not defensive. i genuinely do find your logic hilarious.
the whole "wouldn't be any good if he wasn't a tagger" thing is nonsense.
Glass wouldn't be any good if he wasn't a defender. Sandilands wouldn't be any good on the wing. Lockett wouldn't have been any good in the middle. it's just really stupid logic to claim that a guy who wins the B&F is an average footballer.

Mate, even your own fans are admitting he was no good until he became a tagger, its the truth...

He was about to get delisted, had been tried everywhere else, only tagging he is good at, and bloody good at that.

i'm not saying it isn't the truth, i'm saying it's irrelevant. sorry if i jumped, i just think it's funny how many people seem to think being a tagger somehow excludes you from being considered a 'good footballer'

I didn't say he is no good... I said he is a great tagger, so I'm lost as to where you are going with this.

takes a great deal of mental strength to do a tagging job like he does effectively most weeks..
