grand final so if I were one of the Hawthorn players, smack him good and early on. He will certainly not hesitate to do the same at some point in the game anyway.
I have seen Crowley target players returning from injury and whack their hand or fingers deliberately. He's simply a **** of a bloke and the sooner Lewis or a Hodge or whoever tender him up early, the better off they will be later on in the game.

Please provide evidence of Crowley smacking opponents off the ball like most here are suggesting is done to him on Saturday.

Do people actually realise when they say things like "hope the campaigner gets his jaw broken" they are not only lowering themselves to his level but dropping below it. Crowley is classier than most BF posters.

He's done some nasty things in the past (he was the one that KO'd Ling,, right?) but he's fine now. Just an annoying tagger. He certainly is good at getting into Geelong's head. They totally lose focua when he's on the field.

I really hope the hawks aren't planning any special treatment for this guy - there are 21 other blokes that need to receive a bit if physical intimidation.

Look, even as a Freo supporter I will happily admit that Ballantyne isn't above a few cheeky hits off the ball. But Crowley has never engaged in stuff like that and I am at a loss to even think what people have against him. There has never been any evidence that he does anything outside the rules, and the fact that this thread has gone 14 pages without anyone providing an example is testament to that.

What gets me here is this continual hate of Crowley for some perceived filthy play that nobody seems to be actually able to present in video or any concrete form. Yet there are then so many advocates for someone "breaking his jaw" or something similar.

Never said outside the rules just the constant niggle and sledging. Getting into someone for missing a goal or rubbing it in when he kicks one. Personally I'm pleased none of our boys bother with it. There's nothing illegal with it and there's no point complaining it's just the way he plays. That was my original point.

I thought Eddard was talking about niggling, not off the ball hits? Where do you get that from what he's said?

Apart from the quoted target, the rest of what you've said seems pretty right to me. People seem to think tagger and instantly think Libba. Crowley is niggling, irritating and mouthy (but confusingly friendly acccording to Gablett). But he mainly just does his job stopping his target getting the ball and doing damage with it very, very well.

Guys like Johnson and Harvey getting upset at Crowley seems to make people think he's a serial killer. Hint folks: both of those guys have a case of the red mist whenever they get an effective tight tagger that plays on them.

And for the record, I'm looking forward to the media dropping the Crowley angle... and actually picking another player to write about. It's boring and lazy to keep picking the same target. It'd be nice if the next player they write about was a Hawk. Or if it's a Docker, then maybe a semi-unknown.

The Crowley thing has been way over-analysed. Odds are, he'll do a good job on who he plays on, and all of the other Hawks will have to pick up the slack.

If he picks up Mitchell... then Hodge, Burgoyne, Birchall, Lewis, Smith, Hill, Sewell etc will just have to do their own jobs. With those kinds of names, I don't really see it being a massive worry for the Hawks. If the midfield can't function without Mitchell, then there are bigger problems for them to worry about.

Because Crowley is the ONLY player to get into someone's face about missing a goal. Crowley is the only player who niggles and sledges. Isn't there always some sort of segment or interview with players about who the best sledgers are in the league? Sledging is part of the game as it is for every sport. Everyone here is a total sook and is acting as if Crowley is the only player who does these things.

Surprised no one has mentioned it but they talked to Gaz about crowley last night on On The Couch. Basically said hes clean and likes to have a nice chat, talks to you like your best mates. Was saying stuff like "hows it going up there on the coast?'' and ''I think your doing a good job up there''.

Said he was great at playing angles and can run all day.
