Who do you think he will get this week - The obvious choice in Mitchell or someone else that can kill you with outside run like a Smith or Birchall? What about Hodge - Will someone go to him as well?

i'd put him in the middle. his set shot kicking is better than average and he can roost it from outside 50. he certainly doesn't turn it over much.
dunno who he'll go to. one of mitchell or birchall is what's being touted. he goes to whoever delivers the ball into forward 50 the most. mzungu and de boer will also probably have shut down roles on and off throughout the day. one of them could go to hodge depending on whether he plays forward or back.

Ryan Crowley is a gun and one of the top 10 players in the AFL, with a set of skills no other player possesses. There is a reason all the press this week is about him and no other player, if he does his job as well as he normally does Freo will win easily.

Bastinac got given the role as tagger next year and kept all the competitions best quiet whilst not getting much of the ball himself, North made the GF (heaven forbid) and was given the norm smith for keeping Mitchell or someone quiet and getting a few touches too, then you wouldn't accept that? Silly!

I actually think Crowley will go to Lewis or Snith & DeBoer will go to Mitchell. Bit of a curve ball. Mitchell is too obvious now.

It wouldn't happen first of all, secondly of course, because you can't NOT accept it.

I never said I wouldn't accept it, I'm just saying I don't think a tagger deserves to claim a Norm Smith, it would be bad for the AFL image IMO.

I think you send Suban to do the job on Birch, just lock down on him all day and hopefully kick 1-2. That would be a big win. Keep Mayne to roam as he usually does and play his natural game, he is too valuable in that forward line to lock down on someone else.

I think Mzungu should play head to head on Hodge when on ball, he did a great job on Kennedy (I think) last week.

Suban isn't really a lockdown player, he is one of our most damaging kicks. Much more likely that De Boer or Mzungu go to Birchall.

Just out of interest were you impressed when Brady Rawlings thrashed Stephen Hill a couple of years ago? Kept Hill out of the game and got about 30 touches. I remember the media made a lot of it at the time. Like a 30 year old veteran schooling a skinny 19 year old was a big feat by Brady.
Just wondering what has changed in the last couple of years. The same Vic media that was all in a lovefest for Brady is now treating Crowley like the anti-christ.

That is an absolutely ridiculous statement, do some research on how many free kicks his opponents have been awarded as he legally negates their influence on the game. You and all other club supporters would just love to have a Crowley in your side.
