i thought he was 0% chance before pre season but he has been brilliant, could he even possible replace stokes or slot straight in with stokes?

don't get him unless you see his name on the team for round one. Geelong has got too many young players that could get a game this year. Eg, Prismall, taylor, lonergan.

So if he was on another team maybe. But not at Geelong, coming of a premiership season.

Ok Ryan Gamble has had a great Preseason and booting another 5 goals in the praccy match will certainly improve his chances but you have to look at what position he is playing and who is likely to fill that spot. He will play that small forward roll and look at the guys he is competing with

Your certainties would be Johnno and Chappy, then you have to throw into the mix Stokes, Byrns, and Varcoe who would be likely starters too.

Think we will just have to wait until selection to see what they do, but its gonna be a pretty tough forward line to break into, add in Mooney, Otto, Lonergan, and Hawkins.
