I thought Scotland had a better game than Houlihan....thoughts?

Agreed but I don't think Houlihan plays soft or unaccountable football. I think he has hard-nuts around him to lay the tackles that he now has the bulk to make and he just uses his running skills to make his man look like a goose. But when you're a ball carrier from the half-back if your kicking skills wane a little bit you turnover the ball and looks stupid as it flies back over your head.

Houlihan's role, to play the "quarter-back' style of game from the halfback line has worked so far this season, great coaching by Pagan to really get the best out of him, as well as making him more consistent.
As for his football being soft and unaccountable, didnt he get BOG against North, as well as in the best for the first two games??
He is never going to be the toughest nut in the team, but his hardness at the footy has improved this year, and i think opposition teams will have to start wasting one of their forward options just to man up on him to stop him running amok off our half backline!
It just shocks me to think we were going to get rid him two years ago, as a 19 year old...not to mention he is the best of the 4 Houlihan brothers!

Well I don't really expect a Sheik to alter his opinion on said blouse overnight but eventually .... it has to happen.

Look, personally I think he now has the physique to match it when required, but his natural game is a running game.
