Lester has gone ‘next level’ since his elevation to the seniors. Lester has played every game since Rd.14 last year and since then he has been, an absolute LOCK in defence. He has become the Backline General we so badly needed.

For the St.Kilda game, which will be GAME 200, I will be setting up in the Forward Pocket near the players race.
I am making a banner and will dub the area ‘THE RYAN LESTER STAND’.

People are invited to join in the celebration. Everytime Lester touches the ball, we go nuts!
A slow “Lester, Lester, Lester, Lester” chant will be appropriate.

I might need DERRINALPHIL or McIvor or anyone else who can do it, to get there early to save two from row seats, because the U12’s have a 1.00pm game and it’s hard to get away sometimes. Perhaps someone from the Over 50’s Clique can step up.

unfortunately I will in Port Douglas up in North Queensland so I am out but I will be glued to the largest TV screen in the city, cheering on the greatest number 35 in living memory.

Would anyone begrudge Lester kicking the winning goal?

Rebounding defender. Not just kicks on the 45, which he's very good at, and he makes quick decisions and does that. But him handballing over the top, running past, getting it back, handballing again, running past, getting it back, really creating the overlap run from defense.

He did that two or three times. That really was instrumental in Brisbane generating that run from that back half. So to combine all those things of negating Cameron, intercept marking, and then try to overlap run, just remarkable, complete performance.

Absolutely complete performance.”
