Pre-list, ala Mzungu at the GC, then on trade for picks?
I think that may have been extended to F/S & rookies.
Definitely not for father/son.

Cost nothing - maybe get a 3rd rounder out of someone, may not be across how the F/S pre listing works, but pretty sure can trade for picks.

Nah fair enough, not entirely across the new rules.

what ever happened to Sandiland's younger brother? he was showing a lot of potential as a junior
thanks for that...had no idea he went to Perth!Chad hasn't cracked a league game for Perth yet, seems to have his big brother's kicking ability/want, never more than 5 in a game, average of 2, but without the hitouts, only 13 per game.

Clem Michael and Brett Peake were F/S I believe. Is this our first F/S selection?
WTF? Why would you have an issue with an EF Lester-Smith 'connection'? Both champions from the most successful club in Western Australia.![]()

Yes that's true. But what it does mean to RLS is that he now knows he is going to be drafted, at the least as a rookie. One in the hand is better than two in the bush.
He is going to be at an AFL club next year.
Yep. the Walters to the midfield thing might happen sooner than first thought.A reasonable bet would be for Walters to spend a lot more time in the midfield next year and this would mean we won't lose goal scoring potency.
Yes that's true.
Think it is a little disrespectful to our club though if he agreed to come to Freo F&S and a week ago was wearing a Hawthorn scarf during the grand final (if that is true, may just be a rumour).
Yeah, I don't think the Freo hierarchy would care about him wearing Hawthorn gear during the finals. The clubs seem to work from a different rule book than most supporters. Pure pragmatism and less emotion. I'm unashamedly of the supporter variety. It isn't really disrespectful to Fremantle.
He is only one of hundreds of young footballers who follows Eagles and therefore barrack for any side playing against the local enemy.
I would say there were 1,000's of people in Melbourne wearing purple in support of Fremantle because they were playing against Hawthorn.
In Perth though, it's more localised and intense.
I am certain that once he is drafted he will quickly change.
Incidentally; at The Grand Final we had massive support from neutrals. It was fantastic.
I saw only one fool at the game and that was a dick wearing an Eagles sleeveless jumper and cap. Pissed off his face, he was abusing Dockers fans everytime he came up the stairs with another re-fill. So bad was he, that Hawthorn fans around us were giving it to him.
It is immature for RLS to wear a Hawks jumper around Perth during a grand final for Fremantle but sometimes young blokes are trying to impress their mates.
Following West Coast is the lowest denominator. ( even Eagles players do it ...eg: Ash Smith ).

He' most likely going to be on the rookie list and why does getting him stop us from getting a key forward? Are we on rations?do we really need another half forward. what about max duffy? he came with big wraps a fellow east freo player like RLS.
We need KP preferably a forward.
agree with you...we need a KF and am sure these other players we are gaining are not binding our management from that factHe' most likely going to be on the rookie list and why does getting him stop us from getting a key forward? Are we on rations?
Yep. If you believe channel nine news tonight we will more than likely pursue either Jesse White or JPod. They haven't lost sight of what we need. You're quite correct.agree with you...we need a KF and am sure these other players we are gaining are not binding our management from that fact
Ok..this could be a really dumb question
Rory O'Brien? he picked up the Lynn tonight and the Sandover a few weeks ago - why has he never been picked up? just not suited to AFL?
so pretty much like Josh Head? great in the WAFL for South Freo but floundered in the AFL?Rory is a good reliable WAFL player but not suited to AFL. Has no attribute that makes him stand out other than being a good goal kicker at WAFL level. He is not tall, not overly quick, not enough endurance to run through the midfield but he has a knack of running off a HFF and bobbing up for goals with a very reliable set shot. RLS is ahead of Rory and miles ahead of Duffy.
