With Ryan Murphy not playing much footy, is it primarily due to the likes of tarrant and pav keeping him out of the side or having a quiet patch.

Watched a few games and combined with his first round selection looks to be a player with lots of potential.

Do you guys see him as trade bait or will be used in the future more.

He had a big lapse of form at the start of the year. The only person keeping him out was Ryan Murphy.

He has run into some form in the last few weeks and will play against the blues.

Is just about a certainty to play this weekend. I would be surprised to see him drafted unless he requests it.

Murphy is our best third tall forward, and he has been made to earn his spot up there, through the WAFL, by another good tall forward, Campbell. When he comes back in this week it looks like it will be for a long time.

Like all players on our list he is tradeable for a premium price, but would not be considered trade "bait" as such. Too valuable. If you know of any fast, skillful West Australians who can run through the centre, and who would like to come home, let us know.

I heard through the rumormill that West Coast might be interested in Murphy. We'll take one of their quick midfielders for him, no probs.

I would prefer if Murphy was made to play one more game in the WAFL at a high level without Jeffrey there feeding him the ball, and where his team didn't win by 100 points. If he performs in that game, maybe 5 goals i'd give him a game. But Taz's trial by media has kiboshed that.

I don't know they have any midfielders to spare at the minute. Ember's season is shot because he won't be match fit. If Fletcher's form continues, Judd's groin doesn't get better and Cousins falls off the perch (which is extremely lkely) their cupboard is going to look very bare. Kerr has been made to look mortal when the other three are off their game.

If we had our pick Rosa is the guy I'd want. Maybe Sam Butler.

Highly doubt it. We have C. Jones in the WAFL kicking more goals than Murphy.

We know Hansen wouldn't get a run at Fremantle, you already have a CHF, a damn good one too.

We do think Hansen is great, we play so much better when he is in our team. He works hard all day and provides that target at CHF that we need.

WC aren't big traders, can't see us going for Murphy.

Yup the Weagles are fools if they think Hansen is the solution. Pav would kick 100 a year if he was playing for the Weagles. Any half decent forward would do a better job than Hansen, and not get injured half the year (perhaps why they are looking at Murphy if they can get him on the cheap)

Hansen is also out reliably for 8 weeks a year.. not good for a team who plays alot better with him in the side than him out. Having someone like Murphy on your list would help, which is why i say if the Weagles could get him on the cheap they would.

The problem is you've got a guy on your list who has no backup, and is in the top 5 most important players on your list. Hes also out injured 8 weeks a year. So it would make sense for the Weagles to pick up Murphy, if say, he was languishing in the WAFL and you could get him cheap. That was the rumor i heard.

We'll see how Chad goes in the AFL, pretty easy to kick goals in the WAFL at the moment, just ask Brad Smith. I just hope Chad doesn't get a knee injury and the eagles delist him as "yesterdays news", he'll end up kicking 10 a week in the WAFL instead of 5.

Whats that suppose to mean? Smith wouldn't even play AFL this year if he was still on our list.

Yep, we'll see how Jones goes, only a few weeks until Hansen is back anyway, so I'll be happy if all Jones does is provide a good target.

It means that you guys have had goal kicking woes for most of the year, yet there is a guy sitting in the WAFL kicking a bag every week, who you guys delisted in return for pick 65 or whatever it was.

He wouldn't have played this year anyway. We gave him the chance to play AFL, but after 2 reco's in 2 years, he doesn't want to risk it again.

He already has said his biggest fear is doing his knee again.

Murphy is a very good footballer and a natural FF. Never really given the right opportunities by CC and I think under the right coach he would be a gun. Can mark and kicks the ball really well. Was a key forward in the nine wins last year. IMO, his confidence would have taken a dent with Taz recruitment.

CC does not have the ability to use a player in his best position and bring the best out of them.
