It's interesting that our three premiership players that have departed are well down in the votes per match rankings. Hill and Puopolo well down that list also.
Theres a sizable jump down from the top 4....one that stands out is BB

Brishawk where did you find this data?

Looking at his u18 vid, reminded me of his GF performance. Why the hell did he play back when his work as a state level CHF was that good? I guess the answer was Roughead and Franklin, but he may have been better plying his trade at BH, instead of having his confidence smashed at CHB

I'll ask the same question that I asked at the time.. who else could we have put in the backline??
Murphy??
And I don't think his confidence got shot til last year. (that had a lot to do with his knee and his fitness level etc imo)
2012 and the first few games of 2013 he actually played quite well in the backline despite his whipping boy status. It was just the big guns who got hold of him, and they manage to get hold of most defenders...

Let's hope people in here stop bagging him in 2016, it's just not the Hawthorn way.
Is questioning his performance and form bagging him?

I would think not.

My first thought was 'what the hell did we do to him ?' Instinctive footballer.

2011 pf everyone concentrates on his dropped mark. Seconds before he set up buddy for the goal that got us in front. Not shoeys fault the team didnt ice the game.

But for all the knockers, he always had plenty of support, probably to spite the knockers as much as anything.

This decades John Barker

You can see the total votes for each player here on the Hawks website:

I assume Brishawk just checked how many games each player played and did the division (something I did roughly in my head to work out that Schoey did quite well but couldn't be bothered doing the whole thing so well done Brishawk :thumbsu: )
Yep. Merged the vote data with the games played from the stats page.

BB easily our best ruck on that measure....sadly hahaha

We've got to have one of the worst H/A ruck divisions in the comp the past 4 years but come finals it all changes. Hale and Big Boy step up everytime.

Perhaps we don't play our "A" tactics until the finals.
Or maybe we have players who just step up in big games?

At Hawthorn, we play a lot of big games, so we need big game players!

One person wanted to feed him Ebola in his cereal and another wanted him to do another knee so his career would be over and both of those comments were this year during the season. Others also just refused to admit he ever played a good game like some Cats supporters on the main board still do
