Is he?

I was thinking....I don't rate him, but the again, there are 38 players on your list and someone has to be the 38th.

No one can have a state of origin team, so maybe it would be OK, to add some depth, just in case we have a bad run with injuries.

i don't rate him. Remember Anzac day this year, where he was probably the worst player on the ground. Copped a big spray from Micky at every change.

Can't see where he would fit in. Maybe as a third tall in the two's....who knows?

dan i dont think he is in contention

ricky nixon his manager asked essendon if he could train there
pretty much so he could say, hey look the best team in the comp is considering him
in order to get a nibble from other teams

there are plenty of good young kids training down there that will hopefully get a go

Look, I don't really rate him either.

But surely he is better than 26 year old Judd Lalich, who has now reached an age, where he can no longer improve.

I was just thinking, that with the retirement of Bewick and Denham, it could be worthwhile to get an experienced player to "top up" the list. Even if he doesn't play senior football, Watson could play in the reserves and guide the younger players.

If you look at the 38th best player of our 2000 list, Watson, is certainly the equal of, or better than that player, so why would it be a categoric NO to drafting him.

Having said all that, I probably wouldn't have the guts to draft him myself.

Lalich isnt 26 ! he is 24 and showed a lot of promise when given a chance, look what sheedy did to barnes, he could do the same to a player like watson

------------------
Essendon - The greatest club with the greatest coach in the league ! Carlton- absolute hypocrites who accuse others of being cheats only for it to be found later that carlton are the "serial salary cap breachers" as quoted by our president, haha

I agree Dan26

Shane Watson has failed in both India and England. Not sure he is worth sticking with much longer.

Shane Watson was also a rather vanilla footballer at Collingwood in the mid to late 1990s.

Anyway, back to ordering more crappy Dominos pizza for gutter trolls journalists.
