Official Match Thread S18 Round 12 (Rivalry Round) Baghdad Bandits v Roys FFC @ Abdu Prison

The top of the ladder Bandits face the 6th place Roys in what should be a fantastic matchup in round 12. The Bandits who last lost when Saddam Hussain was still in power have been in outstanding form wining their last 6 whilst the Roys have turned back the years and winning their past 2.

The Bandits are coming of a thrilling match of the round win against the Warriors. The Bandits did lead by as much as 27 points late in the 3rd, but a late Warriors flurry was not enough as the Bandits held on to cement top spot. Alfie favourite Bengwatkins slotted a lazy 7 and is in outstanding form.

The Roys on the other hand made a remarkable comeback being down by 13 points at the 14 minute mark of the last. However a late flourish from FitzroyRamone secured a fantastic road win for the Roys, entrenching them firmly in the top 8. fitzroybulldog was outstanding with a BOG performance with 29 possies, 9 tackles some other stuff and a few goals. Also a shoutout to Reardo who is the best baker in the comp.

This should be an epic. Both teams in good form and stiff not to be the MOTR. In a thriller I pick the streak to continue. Bandits by 5 points.
