Hard as it may be to believe, the Gumbies actually improved this year. Which is saying something, as they still ranked last in total posts with 2338, a distant 412 behind the Warriors in 11th; equal third-last in posters who posted at least once with 19; had the 3rd lowest number of major contributors with 3 and no-one hitting the 30 ppw mark.

A league-high 4 times, they failed to post 100 times in a match thread, and they had the second highest number of inactive players with 19. Their average poster number of 11.13 was also bottom of the table.

Needs: Depth. A recruiting drive would benefit them greatly

Verdict: Last

It would be interesting if we could get all the posting stats in one spreadsheet to see who the biggest spammers in the league are.
:)

Wait. We have new emojis?

The once-powerful Furies slipped badly in S24. One of only 3 clubs to fail to hit 3000 posts, only 2 posters hit the watershed 20 ppw mark and despite 23 of the 28 players who appeared on the list posting at least once, they had 16 posters ranked as inactive, equal 3rd highest in the league. The retirement of captain Sterge leaves a leadership vaccuum which may need to be filled by recycled former club leaders.

They only recorded 300 posts once, second worst in the comp. Their average number of posters each week was not too bad at 15.13, 6th overall, but they left too much to to few, who did too little.

Needs: Vibrant, fresh leadership, and to fish in the wide ocean

Verdict: Bottom 4
Furies in absolute turmoil.

That GF loss hurt them badly.

You were #1. I'm talking about the OP.
That may just be the greatest compliment I have ever received on this forum.

Unless it was intended as a joke, in which case you'd better not tell me.

The Bears are another team on life-support. JoshWoodenSpoon contributed over 26% of their 3047 match thread posts in S24; only I Dont Care at the Warriors was more relied upon. Losing their talismanic leader for S25 hurts their attractiveness to recruits.

The Bears ranked 9th in quantity, had the =2nd lowest number of participants with 19 and only hit the 300 post mark twice. Their 20 inactive posters was the highest number in the league, and their number of active posters (>5/wk) was the lowest in the league at 7- even the Gumbies had more!

Needs: Profile. Someone the league looks up to, who can attract players.

Verdict: Bottom 2

You're not going to improve the league by focusing on posting numbers. And I put you top 10 in the MVP. :poo:
It's a comparison. And every team would take a 100 post/game rookie over an inactive former superstar 100% of the time.

The league doesn't exist without posting. It will improve if the weaker clubs aspire to raise themselves up to the stronger club levels, not by tearing the best down

1st in quality though. I know because after every match a couple of opponents would say thanks for the week.

The Demons ranked 3rd in total posts for S24 with 6225 and were very consistent, only dropping below 300 thrice. Their average poster number of 18.31 posters every week was comfortably best in the league, as was their quantity of contributing posters at 17. The inverse of this is that they have the fewest inactive players.

However, their number of active players (>20 ppw), at 7, was only 5th best, and they were fairly invisible outside match threads.

Needs: A figurehead. Some one to take them out of their little village and into the big city.

Verdict: Top 2

The emphasis here is on numbers.

You're not a 'strong club' simply because you post the most.

Doesn't somebody do something like this thread, but grades each player on the list to come to an overall ranking?
