Hi, folks of the Sweet FA persuasion.

Time for the biannual assessment of each team's posting performance. This is the 5th season that this has been conducted, using the same formula each season to assess the teams.
Here are the last few, for comparison:
Season 26
Season 25
Season 24

The data has been collected throughout the season, and compiled into a series of ranking tables, with a secret formula then applied to each table to calculate every teams score. When all teams are done (alphabetically), the final rankings will be released.

Baghdad Bombers
Coney Island Warriors
Dragons FFC
East Side Hawks
Fighting Furies
Gold City Royals
Gumbies FFC
Las Vegas Bears
Mt Buller Demons
Roys FFC
Sin City Swamprats
West Coast Wonders

The Baghdad Bombers have undergone a full refurbishment in S27. Under the co-captaincy of Tony Lynn 15 and TheCoach16, and the innovative approach of an all-in LG, the Bombers attracted the best of the Dragons in WFL, WaynesWorld19 and VSTone, then picked up the delisted and maligned CazC30, and this resulted in an explosion of posting (of varying degrees of quality, depending upon your bent).

The Bombers ranked #1 for total match thread posts, a whopping 2000 posts ahead of second, and won the posting battle-by-numbers in all but the final round to also top the league for match thread victories. They also had the highest # of Active posters (those who averaged more than 5 posts/week) with 13.

However, they still have a large number of inactive posters, with 7 listed players not bothering to post once, and ranked only 6th for total posters with 21, and 8th for list involvement with 75% of their listed players participating to any extent. On the positive side, they have certainly had a dead-cat bounce from their 10th ranking last season, and have been one of S27's success stories.

NEEDS: Cleanout. The remnants of the HaroLad failed mass recruitment still litter the Bomber's list, and whilst they are well off for top quality posters, the bulk posting style can be toned down to accommodate more sedate posters and boost their overall ranks.

RANKING: Top 4

PREPARE YOUR WANGS AND TAPE MEASURES!!!!!

No chance, we've already noticed the sergeant retreated back to the womb and measurements are using a sun dial at night.

We'll get there eventually but today and the past what, 4 years? Is not that day!

The Coney Island Warriors continued meandering their way through the SFA in S27, although the signs of reinvigoration were there. S25 rookie TheInjuryFactory emerged as one of the best alumni from that season, and looks a captain-in-waiting, if current matriach Wooshette decides on a sabbatical, and this season's rookies harry000 and leobarryustar contributed decent numbers in a team that was intermittently interested at best.

The Warriors have improved from last season, if only in the number of match thread victories. Seven wins and a draw compares favourably to S26's 3 wins, but their posts/week was about 10% down at 182.5. They also had the second-highest number of Active posters (>5/week avg) with 12, so had an even spread of regular contributors, without any poster standing out. They had the highest number of low-mid range posters (averaging 5-20 ppw) with 10.

They were 9th for total posts with 2920; 10th for the number of posters who appeared with 19; and had only 70% of their listed players participate at any time. Unfortunately, the absence of 2 of their biggest names in BigJoe and Frankston Rover hurt their ranking; however, overall they should have improved marginally on their 11th ranking last season.

NEEDS: A saviour. Someone to step to the fore, and assume ownership of a club that is perennially ranked in the lower half of the performance indicators. Can TheInjuryFactory step up?

RANKING: 8-10

You have to feel for the Dragons, decimated by the scorched Earth policy of the Bombers. PhenomenalV1 did a fairly good job of commencing the rebuild, and their rookies all looked ok at times. The standout was AceAndy, and though captaincy in his sophomore season will be a big ask, he looks to have taken to SFA as well as any rookie on the past 5 seasons. Captain PhenomenalV1 and Hatchy1992 tried their hardest to engage a new group, but the buy-in from the established clubmen wasn't achieved, as a league-low 4 players posted every week during S27.

The Dragon's team posting numbers crashed from 446/week in S26 to 170 this season, and it is difficult to find anything positive to hook your coat onto, as they finished in the bottom 3 of the league in every category. They had the second-lowest number of active posters (>5/week) with 7, and the least number of posters appearing during the season, at 16. It's actually a small miracle that they managed to claim 3 match thread victories.

NEEDS: RECRUITMENT. The Dragons must claim some recruiting victories, bringing established posters into the fold. Another batch of rookies would also be a shot in the arm, but they truly lack experience.

RANKING: Bottom 2
