Round 16
ROUND 16

iu

In Round 16, there were some firsts. The most important, there is the first Wild Card. He ended up stealing Power Raid's position in the top-3. I'm sorry my fellow Rat, but despite playing well, you weren't better than haydo and ended up finishing fourth.

#3 - Gadzorks (GCR)
In third, we have Gadz. In the Royals' clash against the Hawks, Zorks was called early to replace nahnah at RR. In a game the defending champs beat the East Side for six goals, Gadz was among their bests. It was warm at the Gold City, and PMBangers have felt the heat. He couldn't do nothing against Zorkie – who ended up with 18 disposals and 6 tackles.

#2 - Ok Boomer (LVB)
Finally, a Bear! It took 16 rounds, but we finally have a Bear in the Top-3. It was raining in the Stadium In The Sky, but Boom replaced Western Stand Warrior in C and owned the midfield. MC Bad Genius couldn't do much, and the home team was victorious. OK's performance (17 disposals, 4 marks, 3 tackles, 1 goal) was more than OK. It was worthy of a second place in this week's Best IC race.

#1 - Antonio BlueVein (BOM)
The R16 winner is ABV. His game was too special to be overlooked. It was cloudy in Abdu's Prison, and the hosts were losing when Antonio got in at CHF for Bovo almost at HT. From that point on, the game was all Bombers. Poor Zevon was barely seen again. BlueVein's 17 disposals, 5 marks, 3 tackles, and 3 goals in a bit more than half a game were certainly the best performance of the round.

Final Round (17)
ROUND 17

It took 16 rounds, but we have finally someone who won the weekly award TWICE! We also have a regular back in the Top-3 along with a new face. I also do a cameo this time around. Headless has finished fourth this week, right in front of saintkildaman.

These were Round 17's best:

#3 - VandoHawk (DRA)
In third, we have a horse. In his fourth game on the bench, VH replaced Matt_352 in the W. He tried hard, and his numbers show it. However, just like Artrax in the Swamp of Sadness, Vando let the muddy conditions at the Colosseum get the best of him. Ultimately, mike123 ended up running him over with a BoG performance in the Wonders' victory over the Dragons. Still, VH's game was good enough for a Top-3 this week.

#2 - Danger in Texas (GCR)
In second, comes R9 winner, Danger in Texas. It's his fourth appearance in the Top-3 [third-most, along with WaywardSonSon]. This round, after a brief spell in the BP, DiT was called to replace nahnah at RO. There, he had to play against GremioPower. Life can be unfair sometimes. Poor Tex! GP took full advantage of the cloudy conditions in the Golden Throne and ran over him for the entire game, while leading Sin City to a close win. But life is also about balance, and Danger's stats were able to lift him up to second place.

#1 - Antonio BlueVein (BOM)
Our last winner is also our last previous winner. Unbelievable! In just four games as IC, Antonio BlueVein managed to win the award twice, and in consecutive weeks. In the ruck, replacing Jabba73, ABV won the HO count against RelaxMax 23 to 11. The Bombers used that to obliterate the Warriors in a cloudy day at Abdu's Prison. BlueVein's game also was the best among all interchangers. That's why he is the R17 IC of the Week.

Which club has the best IC Corps in the league?

sub-4-jpg.1068730

From R8 onwards, it was a 2-club race between the Fighting Furies (who lead in 10 of the 17 rounds) and the Gold City Royals (who lead in 6 rounds).
In the last 10 weeks of the season, there were seven leading changes!

The only other club that was on the top was the West Coast Wonders, after Round 1. The Wonders ended up in fifth overall, behind the Baghdad Bombers (who was the club with most IC of the Week wins) and the Gumbies (who was the club with most Top-3 finishes).

In the bottom, there was another two-club race – between the Las Vegas Bears and the Mount Buller Demons. Ultimately, the Wooden Spoon ended up with the Dees. (Yes, Headless, you read it right.)
