so I have informed and reminded the committee of the Unrestricted free agency rule. No punishments will be laid for past offenses, but committee have been advised to follow the rule in future.

Exactly right Wosh. This is the ethical way to go about it and since the rule was introduced, it has always been the intention.

Now, the rules state that not following Rule 4D brings about a Medium Impact. Which I would argue is reasonable however I think with the sheer weight of teams offending, I think it should be a simple wake up call to everyone and we just move forward from here without any penalty.

A big old heads up about sign-up procedure without any penalties (there;s a word for this like emancipation but i can't remember it, when current breaches are all absolved) is a good result, I think.

I also want to suggest that the signup proforma be altered to only list the important stuff (name & choice of team), because the rest is for their team to deal with not the league.
And to also have the same proforma be a requisite at whatever permitted signup site is allowed, eg team thread.
