It's probably a bit simplistic there, the buck always stops with a captain, they're the person selected to post a team sheet (or have volunteered themselves, moreso)

And I think I see ClarkeM's point in relation to posting at a set "day" time hour... have you ever seen a LG member bold enough to post a team sheet before their captain? And by that, I mean at any time before say 11.30pm on a Thursday. Not saying it's needed but I get it. People are around more during the day than they are at midnight.

I see a lot of call that it's the responsibility of the LG to back up their captain and I agree but that also requires the LG to be not only aware but also aware and ready to cover for their captain up to 11.58pm on a weeknight. There's a whack to be copped here for the captain for sure but there's some reasonable parameters of doubt for LG's that don't carry a co-captain.

Either way on this one I'll be urging my captain to have his sheet in on Wednesday for a while.

i did it, at least twice off memory

and its not undermining the captain. any idiot who can read the rules knows that its the final version that matters. the fake out teamsheet is borderline a trope now

How the fu** does it disadvantage Perth peeps? What if a captain is living in Europe for a particular season? Should the time be pushed back further?
Thoughts Chipmunk?

*daylight saving

they already have the disadvantage of being western australians, and believing daylight savings fades curtains more quickly. lets give them a little charity

Then you're the one guy that ever did it.

I get it, it should be done but I also have no issue with any team expecting their captain to do it. This was the first one since S30 and it was because a captain snoozed.

Why is it early? If LG's can't choose their team in the allotted time - which I for one think is more than generous, then maybe that team should choose a new LG :).
I think it’s unnecessary for Sunday afternoon games. Make it Friday, morning, afternoon, whenever.

i dont think im the only one (but in fairness cannot think of any others off the top of my head)

my role as VC was to back turbo and cover him as needed. and our lg were a further support behind this.

and remember, we were the furies - the club that was openly mocked for its LG

if the furies can institute support of command and redundancies, surely its not ****ing hard for the rest of the more intellectually capable clubs?

Remember back in the day when you were cool and it was Friday night?

Good times.

Do you know what, I reckon you may have hit the nail on the head there... we've had a long run with a co-captaincy system and now we don't even have a set VC. Maybe just bad timing as I would have checked in normally just to see what he was thinking with the team but I was away but it does suggest a more defined back up role/set of roles is needed in this transition.

fair call, and i actually did think similar to this. your boys have been spoilt with such a hands on and active captain in yourself, so its easy to go on autopilot and just assume shit happens
