Clev Hughes is a fast leading forward, still needs to add a bit to his body and still lacks some confidence against the bigger bodies. His consistency has been poor but his better games this season have been brilliant.

But he is regarded as a player with unlimited potential, that is the word from inside the club.
There is plenty of talk coming from AFL Clubs wanting to hear more about him.

Should play well for SA Under 18's

Darren Pfeiffer is also very exciting, as you may have caught a glimpse of him playing league footy the last 2 weeks.

Thanks for that. I've seen a fair few players progress through Norwoods junior system over recent years and its pleasing to see so much talent on offer. Mitch Sandery is another fine example of the development system at the Parade and players like Gavin Hughes, Matthew Brunoli, Robbie Young and Stephen Rofe are promising glimpses of the future.

I understand there is another member of the Hills clan - Steven Pollock - playing with the U19s/reserves. Tell us a bit more about him if you can.

Steve Pollock is a 192 cm key position player. Preferred at CHB, he can also play FF and CHF.

He is a good aerialist, bad sadly lacks the speed of other players.
However he makes up for it in footy brains.

His skills are reasonably tuned. He will be a good player for Norwood in the Future. He has had a little interest last season from AFL clubs.

But he missed out on the State Squad last year. So he may miss the boat.

you seemed to have come on the scene very suddenly shocka. wats your involvement with SA's Star juniors? i fail to agree on ur assessment of tom redden, i think he will be picked in SA's team.

u wait a see on redden, hes in the squad, but there really isnt a place for him in the line up at the moment. he lacks skill and ability

Redden IMO would deserve a spot in that side. Ive seen a lot of all the young players this year, some more than most. Good attempt at a side tho gotta say.

Varcoe is very exciting, Pfieffer is playing league SANFL atm, McEntee also has and he can also go forward and kick a fair few goals. Kicked a bag in the ressies a few weeks ago.

I rate Gavin Hughes very highly im just not sure on his age.

Havent got much time to comment but also look out for Nick Salter, has been playing very well lately.

I would also start Hurley on the ball, he is a magnet.

Just one Jace Bode, i dont think at all he has any chnce of being drafted. The guy lacks talent in a big way and is very slow.

you obviously havent seen him play. ive seen a lot of jace over the years and admittedly we dont always see eye to eye, but the kid can play and what you say about his pace isnt true, if you saw him at trainings on monday nights you would understand that one thing he definately not slow, and its this size you talk about that will attract clubs he is a massive unit already and has the body to step up into AFL straight away, he wil go in the 2nd round.
