May have felt sorry for us after the way Ro$$ took off and left our list in a bit of a mess.

Thats Sos actually - Sheeds had nothing to do with it. And it wasnt our pick 25, it was Collingwoods, which we'd got for Marty Clarke and Jamie Elliot. And then your pick 20 went to Fremantle, where we got the end-of-first-round compensation pick for Rhys Palmer.

So, in effect, Saad was a quarter of an end of first round compo pick.

Glad he's a good pickup, great to see he's getting a game and going well ... but we like our kids, and didnt see which ones we'd cut

Certainly doesn't look out of place at AFL level. He and Milera bring a real energy and unpredictability to the Saints forward line that has been effective since they came in.

I think what sets him aside is his toughness. Certainly doesn't shirk a contest and probably left a few Tigers sore in a few of them. He's surprisingly thick.

His pace is just amazing. Enables him to get to so many contests that others just wouldn't get to and as you said, he is physically strong, which also helps with his tackling.

Milera has been okay but I don't think he will last. But this kid, he looks a quality player, saw a bit of him in the VFL and thought why isnt he playing AFL already?

Milera has dropped off a bit in the past couple of weeks, that's for sure, but he's still managing to kick a goal or two and do some very creative things. Needs to knuckle down a bit and work harder though and maybe cut out some of the fancy stuff, which is now getting him into a bit of trouble, as other teams are ready for it more and anticipating it.

I don't think he's going to go away though, considering all the hard work he's done to get here. May just need a bit of a "reality check", like maybe getting the green jacket next week.

I said big games because he obviously hasn't even played in a final yet, it goes without saying finals are more intense than the games I mentioned but so far when the pressure's been on him he's played well.

Stokes was alright last year, would've been great if he converted....Blair on the other hand = rubbish....

Anyhow, Saad is awesome pickup for the Saints, if he has the tank for a season he will scare the sh*t out of most small backs....
