That was the coach apparently.
I was watching on TV and Tait was only averaging around 135-140km/ph, which I believe may be quite a bit slower than what he was bowling for Sturt a couple of weekends ago.
Hope Klinger was giving him a spray.
It was Klinger having a barney with Mark Sorell, presumably right after he found out he was being relegated to drinks carrier.
You could pick Cosgrove out quite easily... I swear you could position him halfway between Point and Cover and the batsmen would not be able to hit around him through either position. Sure, Boof Lehman was always a big guy, and never the fittest man in the line up... but seriously, he was never even close to this bad. Cosgrove can play for whichever state team he likes, and score as many runs as he wants, but the Australian selectors will not pick a man who is that unfit, plain and simple.
Seriously, just when I think the Redbacks might stop being a complete and utter joke, we drop a guy who was our best bat last year by an absolute mile, who just made a ton a few days before - and we keep in an unfit, petulant tosser who can't be bothered taking the game seriously.
Why the hell would you drop your best batsman?!?!
And the amount of runs Cosgrove makes in Shield Cricket is irrelevant - if he's playing in a ODI or a Test and batting with any of the current side, they're going to be trying to run 3s when he can only run 2s and he's to slow in the field, simple as that.
