Over 62.1: Magoffin to Cosgrove, no run, OUT, pokes outside off and plays onto the off stump, very lazy shot when the Redbacks needed him most
To Carl and RIT, this is what i'm talking about!
At 4/183 it looks like time to start thinking about the draw.

time to bump the "drop Manou" thread me thinks. He has been woeful since he got the call up to the Ashes and India.
What? He chopped a ball onto his stumps? Wow.To Carl and RIT, this is what i'm talking about!
What? He chopped a ball onto his stumps? Wow.
So what should he do? Leave every ball outside off stump alone? Or should he have tried to thrash the ball to the fence instead?
He had three options:-
1. Leave it
2. Belt it
3. What he did
And I think you'd find a way to criticise him for all three![]()
So basically dismissals are never batsmen's fault?
So you're saying he should never get out?So basically dismissals are never batsmen's fault?
So you're saying he should never get out?
Or is it that there are only certain acceptable ways of getting out?
You really need to watch some cricket. The vast majority of dismissals are batter error. It is exceedingly rare for a bowler to get the ball to move half a bat width very late and genuinely defeat the batter all ends up.Yes, you can get beaten by a better ball.
Care to comment on the fact that he has scored at a higher Shield career average than ALL of our other batters by hitting the ball over the field and gliding the ball to third man? So he should remove the shots that have made him our most effective batsman... please. But getting out as he commonly does trying to belt a ball over the infield because he cbf running, or playing little gliding shots without watching the ball to realise it's cutting is just lazy cricket!
I think you'll find that we need him to make runs every innings. We always need him to make runs because we're shit and he's our only match winner. So every time he gets out he's basically lost us the game because he's the only one who can win it for usThe really irritating thing is that these dismissals frequently happen on days like today when he's really needed to stand up.
Sigh, and a return to the Redbacks of old![]()
