Been a bit late starting this one up this year, those few Redback afficianados that are left might appreciate this link though:

Showing highlights from all days so far. Love it:thumbsu:

Things are looking uncharacteristically good against Tassie, anyone know what's happened to Cleary? Injured presumably?

Really hope Harris and Smith knock these runs off themselves, we need the confidence!

Can't believe our depleted bowling lineup managed to knock over Tassie's tail so easily! Could be a long summer for them!

Very good start to the year for the Redbacks. Dominated the game from start to finish with some great performances from Christian with the ball and of course Smith.

As I said on the other board, hopefully this is a sign of things to come rather than a fail to live upto expectation. Weve been waiting long enough for a trophy..... its about time the boys delivered one.

Top effort by the lads. Must admit I wasnt happy both Christian and O'Brien were playing but they have done well today. Still say Bailey should have played.

Well done to Smith who will be MOM.

Much harder tests await but a great start nevertheless.

yeah its great to see the lads get an early win. how many seasons have we got the halfway mark of the season and have 0 or 2 points.

Was going to say the same thing, sure were not in February?

The last few years the Red backs in October have been Redhacks and not really played some good cricket until February or March when it’s all too late.

Good to see them get all 6 points. Off to a flyer.

Pathetic display by Tasmania there! Some very soft dismissals!

Also love the movement Christian is getting with the ball. Without Tait is probably one of our strongest Fast Bowlers.

Does anybody know who is top of the Shield table at the moment?

This also means we have won 4 matches in a row! When was the last time that happened?

I know Tassie weren't great, they scored at a ridiculously slow rate, but we rarely capitalise on these games and sometimes struggle to even take the 2 points on offer.

Smith MOM with a ton and unbeaten 50 and good bowling from the likes of George, O'Brien and Christian. Great start to the season.

This youtube channel is the most exciting thing to happen in ages. Nothing to break the monotomy of a Friday afternoon at work like noticing the highlights of the day's play are up!

Possibly more exciting than the Crows in the SANFL vids the AFC puts up!

Actually come to think of it, definitely more exciting due to the youtube>>>>>>bigpond factor.

One Dayer against Tassie just kicked off.

Klinger 12th man:eek:
Wow. That's a massive decision. Our No.1 from last season... gawn. Was his ODI form not so good late last year? Seem to remember he tonned up early.

SA made 250, Tassie 3/137 off 23. Need to get Birt out asap.

Wow! Haven't seen Cosgrove lately, did he spend the off-season eating??? At that size, I'm waiting for the Redback heirarchy to send him back to grade cricket and tell him to get his fitness up. His skill is fantastic of course, love the guy.

Won't happen while we're winning games.

If we lose a few though then it will be an issue.

Yea, what the hell is with that?

I was at the game and I think they may have shown Klinger having a heated discussion with somebody on the main screen?

Why do you love him?

He's got all the talent in the world, but he's lazy and ill-disciplined, and thinks that his talent is all that should matter and makes him special. Unless he's changed in the last few years, he's a pretty mediocre, pretty self-indulgent person.

The sooner the Redbacks hierarchy grow a pair and tell him to either get fit and take his Cricket seriously, or piss him off, the better.

On a different note - has Taity changed his action? At the game today he seemed to bowl in a more pure style, not a slinging action anymore?

Yer noticed the bowling action of Taity today, definetley different from the last time I saw him. Obviously to try and combat his run of injuries.

That was the coach apparently.

I was watching on TV and Tait was only averaging around 135-140km/ph, which I believe may be quite a bit slower than what he was bowling for Sturt a couple of weekends ago.

It was Klinger having a barney with Mark Sorell, presumably right after he found out he was being relegated to drinks carrier.

You could pick Cosgrove out quite easily... I swear you could position him halfway between Point and Cover and the batsmen would not be able to hit around him through either position. Sure, Boof Lehman was always a big guy, and never the fittest man in the line up... but seriously, he was never even close to this bad. Cosgrove can play for whichever state team he likes, and score as many runs as he wants, but the Australian selectors will not pick a man who is that unfit, plain and simple.
