If Manou had just kept batting and played out a draw there would have been plenty of people criticising him for being too negative...

We didnt have that option at that point anyway, the deal was made before the Vics declared.

It was no given that we would have actually finished them off, and won FI points. We could have escaped this game with no points. I spose it came down to whether or not two guaranteed points was worth the risk of conceeding 6.

Considering the way the competition is placed, i think it was.

Complete the sentence... If we lose this I'll....

Bushrangers 9/283 - need 57 from 48.

If any team can win it from here it's the Vics
If any team can lose it from here it's the Deadbacks

BTW, check this progress score out in India

India 7/414 off their 50 overs
Sri Lanka 1/280 off 33.2 overs!

Please explain?

White being the CAPTAIN of one of the best domestic sides the world has seen should know the rules you think?

He bunted the ball in to the ground, it looked like it might go back on to his stumps so he knocks the ball away with his bat.. this is fair enough but take note that he has now hit the ball twice!! So what does he do? Takes off and runs a single, ump calls a dead ball and White has a massive sook to the ump!

Anyway somehow the Vics have handed the game back to us, some terrible cricket by Matthew Weeks yet he got Rogers out then was involved in a run out after ****ing a catch up.

This reminds me of that game when the Saffies chased 400+ vs the aussies a few years back.. but here we were half a chance of getting double bonus points with Hodge and White out cheap and Dave Hussey gone for a golden, it really is unbelievable how close we came to losing this game.

Weeks to White, no run, defended down on the wicket, it bounced back towards the stumps, he tapped it away from the stumps, a second strike, and they ran one. But the umpire called it dead ball.

Umpire Bob Parry saying you're allowed to protect your wicket but you can't get a run fom a second hit.

If White wanted to play like that then the redback should of appealed for a double hit.

If you were a youngster taking up the game there is no way you would become a bowler

What a shit bloke.

Some of the worst bowling I have seen at the death for some time. Whatever happened to bowling a yorker. This slower ball crap and half trackers down the leg side with the fine leg up. Weeks won the game in the end by getting Rogers and took 4 weeks, but he would have to be one of the most ordinary bowlers to pull on a SACA shirt.

Come on

The declaration was perfect. The bowling wasn't. How often are 380 scored in a day to win a game? Very rarely.

As much as Bailey bowling wicketless through the last day against Queensland hurt him and caused him to be dropped, the Redbacks only taking only four wickets yesterday has probably helped his cause.

Good call, came in and took 4/62 off 27 overs, claiming a couple of key scalps in the top end and cleaning up the tail at the end.

Looks likes its become the "thank f*** for Klinger" show again though.

Redbacks 6/249, Klinger 109*, and our next best batsman Cosi out for 34.

Seriously how much longer can the Aussie selectors ignore him(not that I'm complaining really, the Redbacks need him big time)? Leading run scorer last year and looks well on his way this year too, not to mention the fact his average will probably be up over 100 following this 4-dayer against WA, and from memory was around the 70-80 mark last year.

^ he may just be the new brad hodge...

Good decleration, sets up a good run chase, I dont think 320 will be enough if Smith/Harris arent removed in the first 10 overs today! Cossie hitting them well, Borgas in career best form, Both score quickly and freely, Pitch with no real deamons, Klinger to bat around the other blokes. All we need is some luck!
