Carlton will be alot better when Hartlett and Jackson are playing for the Bullants. Don't understand how people can say they warrant a spot. They are plain and simple not up to AFL standard. Simple.

Clearly you weren't watching the game... Hartlett did some ok things... just needs to present a little more and we need to kick to him. We are just so Fev concious that we aren't looking outside the tunnel...
Jackson wasnt given a clean run at the game.. the on off on off didnt do his momentum any good. At the end of the day we need Bannister out and Armfield in... I like Armfields attack on the ball and his 2 and 3rd efforts... bannister is just a hack!
The turning point IMO was when Waite got called to play on.
what about the free kicks that weren't paid to both sides... all ours seemed to happen in our foward 50... the MMM boys thought that Fev deserved at least 2 or 3 when they double teamed him and there was hands in the back all over the place. The problem is it is such a hot and cold rule... they need to either police it strictly or not at all it is so frustrating!
Imo he was one of your players who actually beat their opponent.

So Lids had 2 more effective disposals than Bann.........and you want to sack him and blame him for something?

stats can mean crap... refer to Rex Hunts comment about playing on Robert Walls... "I kept him to 5 stats for the day... he just kicked 5 goals"... while bannister kept Deledio to 9 effective disposals they were gold disposals... 2 goals and assists... sometimes stats dont portray an accurate reflection of the game that was played and this is one of those occassions...

I never have and never will rate bannister... at the end of the day they werent playing him as a leading forward... richo did the most damage against us tonight... bower or grigg would of done equally a good job tonight...

richo had 3 up until the last... and then kicked two in the last... one when the game was done...
3 in 3/4 is hardly "take him off him" eventually we sent waite up forward to try and fill in the giant canyon that was at CHF

I don't really rate Banno either, but the fact of the matter is that he was instrumental in two of our wins last year, flogging Johnson and then flogging Chad Cornes. His game those days was pivotal to each win.
There were a number of reasons we lost tonight. Banno had little to do with any of them and if he can do that job each week it will be a huge plus. He is a tagger. He shut down his man.......who DID start forward, was being beaten, had a run on ball.....was being beaten.
We must give some credit where its due. Banno did a very good shut down job tonight.
Could have had 6 up to 3 quarter time and had 10 or so marks up until that point. Richo was easily the game breaker, and you guys didnt take him seriously enough and paid the ultimate price.

yeah some good points but again your hiding behind stats... as I said 5 stats 5 goals robert walls... it isnt the amount it is quality... dids wasnt massively influential but he did enough to "break even" with bannister... i will go as far to conceed that...

And nowhere to be seen in 15 of our losses.. Great strike rate mate..I find it hard it hard to live by Carlton's stats of the last 7 years to be honest...The only stats that count are winning.

played on him when I was in year 10... for all of 2 minutes until the bounce of the ball happened and we were able to make the swap... easy to say 2 possies would of been great... 3 stats including the assist with for the goal was hurtful however I did lay a tackle on the great man... until he bounded to his feet and took off again... embarrasing
