This club needs a shake up in the coaches box. Not necessarily Cox but some fresh eyes and minds in the assistants ranks.
It's insanity to keep doing the same thing and expecting different results.
Yes there's been injuries but there has also been a massive drop off in discipline and effort.
Give him another off season if need be but change something.

Too many coaches at the club have been there too long. Thats what 3 succession plans in a row does - no new ideas. Even Leon Cameron must have been there 4-5 years. Of course the soft cap ****s us up with money offers for good coaches in Sydney.

But we are. Are there levels of rabble? Can anyone seriously see improvements driven by the head coach. He will see the year out, it’s gone anyhow, I don’t see how he sees year 2. We are paying the penalty for not throwing the job open to a process..

I'm conflicted because I said 3 years ago move Horse on and don't just pick his assistant do a process get a new coaching team, was worried about the mental, need a clean out.
But not he is here and on four year and does have injuries (no excuse for effort) they also can't ditch it a year in, but then the offseason are we going this is a blip and back the boys in? and if they stayed shit this time next year well yep he is gone.
For context, the current coaching panel:
Cox
Ben Matthews - midfield
Mark McVeigh - defence
Amon Buchanan - forward
Matthews has been our midfield coach since 2021 (when we got good again after a few lean years)
McVeigh was our defensive coach last year
Buchanan joined the assistant panel for this season. Was a 1-3yr development coach for the 2 seasons before that.
All been with the club for a few years, but had experience elsewhere.
Matthews at Melbourne with Roos/Goodwin, and Buchanan and Mark McVeigh with the Giants through that 2015-22 period where they were good, but couldn’t get the job done.

There injuries and then there’s this. This isn’t about los8ng, it’s about how the fabric has so quickly evaporated under his watch.
I seriously cannot see where he gets better.
He was assistant for a long time, enough to be doing better than he is.
