Grant Thomas was firstDavid King the only footy analyst able to see through the bullsh*t.
The influence he had over the football media is astonishing.
We certainly didn't get enough out of Ryder. Big talent though which made it more annoying. Think we gave up picks 17 & 37 for Ryder.i put ryder as a flop given we immediately lost him for an entire season because of essendongs drug cheating, then in his last 2 years had trouble staying on the park. he had a good year in 2017 for sure. more to the point, he was meant to be the missing piece of the puzzle and his tenure coincided being at our absolute nadir of kernys tenure (2015-2019). we traded our first 2 picks to get him, going "all in" after the 2014 success and it backfired spectacularly. at 27 he should have been at his absolute prime and we only got 73 games out of him in 5 years. flop.
Standard Hinkley speakWhat is he even on about
Glad you've seen the light finallyAhhhh. Refreshing, honest Ken. Telling it like it is.
It's similar to "The Art of Regaining the Ashes" with Ben Stokes."The Art of Coaching" with Ken Hinkley.
We are no where near finals.Which is precisely why I want us to do better than the so called experts think in 2026. It'll leave a helluva lot of people with egg on their face if we play finals, despite the absence of the "great" Ken Hinkley!!!!
That's not true at all...We are no where near finals.

We'll see about that - I don't reckon our last 7 quarters of football have been a fluke. Time will tell.We are no where near finals.
Nah they definitely haven't been they've been some of the best we've played but it's way too early. We'll see about that - I don't reckon our last 7 quarters of football have been a fluke. Time will tell.
The way our boys played against Geelong, I'd say that they played as if they were enjoying NOT having a father figure as a coach. The Hinkley-imposed shackles have been removed, and they appear to be enjoying their football.I guess having a father figure wasn't high on their list of priorities
We tried really hard but someone has to lose
Oh no, not the 36ers

"Real coach."
