He said they met during Gather Round, and I know for fact that Hinkley met with GW and CD while in Adelaide.

Carlton would have to move Cripps on and dunno how much that would even get plus put a gamble on their future drafting by sacrificing their first rounders in 2027 and 28 plus what ever else. Some good prospects there like Dean in the backline.. Maybe move on Saad but dunno what you'd get.. Or McKay but again... dunno. Still need a key forward.

as a kern hater from waaaaaaaay back, ive been pleasantly surprised with his comms. i mostly don't have to see his stupid head, and his commentary is surprisingly decent, plus he lacks the media filter to not criticise shit things the umps/afl do and calls a spade a spade.

the trait that made his last year so utterly interminable (ie. not giving a shit and being mentally checked out) as a coach, is actually a winning trait in comms.

After some years of experience in the field, one learns to see and connect dots. It’s never perfect, but accuracy definitely improves with time. You might be wrong, but it’s a plausible scenario.
