Opinion Sack Hinkley 3 - 2021 is worse than 2020 already

Buckley shouldn’t be used as an example of stability = success. Only Hardwick is in that category and he at least made a number of finals in the lead up to the premiership.

What has Buckley actually achieved? He inherited a young premiership team but failed miserably to capitalise.

Admittedly Buckley has made a GF which makes him more qualified than Ken, but even then - is making a GF now the definition of success? If so, is Ross Lyon 4 times the coach of Buckley?

Hardwick made finals three times in those 7 years leading into the first flag in year 8 and lost all three finals. 13th in year 7. So year on year comparison Ken > Dimma so far

Surely Hinkley needs to be put on staff so he never has to be concerned about new contracts or contract extensions again. When he has had enough of Ports he can simply resign but he can never be forced to leave.

Food for thought

This condensed season and the Covid-19 situation meant less training sessions right.

That also means less time for the players to be corrupted by bad coaching and gameplan.

Our season success is purely off the talents of our list not being overcoached and playing to their instincts.

We entered the AFK on a shoe string in 1997, within 4 years in 2001 3rd - 2002 1st - 2003 1st - 2004 a flag from 1st.

It has taken 8 years just for Ken to finish top 4. It's only a flag that can earn an extra year on his contract.
