Opinion Sack Hinkley 3 - 2021 is worse than 2020 already

Buckley shouldn’t be used as an example of stability = success. Only Hardwick is in that category and he at least made a number of finals in the lead up to the premiership.

What has Buckley actually achieved? He inherited a young premiership team but failed miserably to capitalise.

Admittedly Buckley has made a GF which makes him more qualified than Ken, but even then - is making a GF now the definition of success? If so, is Ross Lyon 4 times the coach of Buckley?

Hardwick made finals three times in those 7 years leading into the first flag in year 8 and lost all three finals. 13th in year 7. So year on year comparison Ken > Dimma so far :)

2 years to me seems about right. One more wont happen and 3 is too many.
Surely Hinkley needs to be put on staff so he never has to be concerned about new contracts or contract extensions again. When he has had enough of Ports he can simply resign but he can never be forced to leave.

Like Neil Craig... then we just sack him and not worry about massive pay out...

The Camry Crows were lucky that Craig agreed to walk. They didn't sack him because they couldn't without being liable for wrongful dismissal.

Putting Craig on staff was another Trigg master feck up.

So... staff would be a bad thing? Dam.
A bad thing for people who want a coach held to account for their performance, a great thing for the people who believe that Hinkley should have the job for as long as he wants it.

The longest tenure given to the least successful coach in our club history given how many bites of the cherry he has had. He made the finals lads, admit you were wrong.

I think it's time we rename the Wanganeen stand as the Hinkley stand at Adelaide Oval.
Shouldn't the Wanganeen stand be at Marvel anyway?

Ken made AFL careers for players like Sam Gray and Jake Neade.
Hey, come now. That's Jake "Destroyed Dustin Martin In An Elimination Final" Neade to you

Food for thought

This condensed season and the Covid-19 situation meant less training sessions right.

That also means less time for the players to be corrupted by bad coaching and gameplan.

Our season success is purely off the talents of our list not being overcoached and playing to their instincts.

So what if we lose both of our finals games, will all the Hinkley lovers think that next years extension and possibly beyond is the right call?

Why does the new Port keep putting the cart before the horse, results first decisions second. That would be 8 years as head coach and no winning finals for 6 years.
