It feels like 2004???

How's that?

In 2004, we had three straight top finishes in home and away, and lost two prelims on the trot. We had Primus coming back from injury, and there was a real sense of 'now or never' and renewed determination in the group after two embarrassing finals series's.

In 2020, we haven't won a final in five years, nobody seems particular upset by this, the coach has committed to trying, the co-captain was up the river again, and everyone feels pretty pleased with themselves, after all we aren't the Port of old that can expect to win all the time.

When your sister an afl umpire it’s clear the brother didn’t get the footy smarts a ken oath faithful believing we are heading to a 2004 like season 🙄
We actually won more H&A games in 2003 than we did in 2004, equal with 2002 for most wins in a season. How anyone can think that 2020 will be a 2004 like season based on 2019, and 2018 before that, beggars belief.

I can just see Ken holding up the cup on the podium whilst sucking back a coke!

It’s like Fury Road feeling like Mad Max even though it wasn’t shot in Broken Hill :)

Just because it’s not exactly the same doesn’t mean it can’t feel similar.

Listen to this only 18 months in supporters screaming for kens head. Yet Hinkley 8 years and people act like more time needed

You mean Primus's head?

How dare he not achieve instant results running the team on the smell of that time we walked passed a properly funded football department!

It was still made by George Miller.

See, Ken Hinkley is not the George Miller of these movies. No. You may say he's the JJ Abrams.

Start of 2004 you knew we were going to make finals, the side was too good not to make top 4, top 2, but 22 weeks of the minor round was meaningless, unless we performed in September and broke the shackles of the past 3 years finals failure. It was a pain waiting for September to come to prove the doubters wrong. We had 3 years of extremely successful minor round seasons to build on for expectations of 2004.

Start of 2020 we don't know if we are good enough to makes finals, let alone feel that the minor round is meaningless. The previous 3 years have been bog average.

The only similar feeling I have, is that coach has to perform and deliver, otherwise he has to get sacked and get someone in who can get the maximum out of the list, rather just talk about potential of the list and that we should be doing better.

Yep it’s that time of year alright when we watch ex Port players at new clubs break our hearts.

Then many on here look out for any * up they make On field no matter how lame in a futile attempt to put it all on the player we traded out instead of the complete imbecile in charge who seems to have far too many “personality differences” with good players.

Sack Hinkley now and stop trading out our talent.
